What are you getting your husband/SO for Christmas?

I am getting my husband a new jacket, probably either a Columbia or North Face. Our daughters bought his Christmas present on our vacation at the beach this year: a gift pack of extreme hot sauces from the hot sauce store at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach. He loves hot sauce and always wants to go into that store to sample.

I will buy my dh Costa Del Mar sunglasses.
He lost his in the lake this past summer and he wants another pair.

DH wants some kind of notebook thing, with waterproof pages? I have no clue what he is talking about...guess I'm going to have to have him show me.

Other than that, it'll just be what the kids get him. We usually don't go "big" for each other--except the year he bought me a diamond necklace, and last year, when I got a Kindle Fire. He's received hockey tickets from me (Go Avs!).

In my defense--his birthday is a few days before Christmas, and I "do" for his birthday. We saw Spam-a-lot one year, and WDW another.

I found out this year, he has never had a birthday party (not even as a kid :scared1:) so I'm having his Cub scout den throw him one this year. They are making him a group gift (a wooden toolbox) and we'll have cake and games. :woohoo:

My dh is getting a trackball mouse, a hockey jersey, and some sees candy. Since hes jewish he gets one of those gifts for hannukah and the others so he has something to open on xmas with everyone.

Since we had the girls we don't really exchange gifts. Last year I got him a GPS from the girls, since we were driving to Disney instead of flying like we usually do. We tend to buy stuff that we need and call them gifts from the girls. Our real gift is going to Disney every year, that is what is most important to us so we put off real gifts.

Hopefully a son. Christmas is when I find out the gender of our baby.

That is so sweet. My 2nd baby boy was born on Christmas day in 2001. :goodvibes My first baby boy was due on Christmas day 2000, but he came on December 12. I consider them our best Christmas presents ever!. :santa:

My husband will be getting a new driver. All he ever wants is golf clubs :confused3 But it makes him happy and makes it easy for me.

My fiance has asked for a Coach wallet and new cologne. I will also add a new pair of jeans and shirt (either Polo or casual button down) and a gun. He bought me a Mossberg pistol pump shotgun last year (I love her) and so I'm looking to get him a 9mm glock.

What a great thread! I've gotten so many good ideas! So far the only thing I can think of that is always a winner is playstation network gift cards or stuff for his PS3. He is always wanting to buy games but doesn't like spending money on them. This way he can get whatever he wants and not feel guilty! :woohoo: I too like the idea of the fancy shaving stuff. One present he got from someone one year that he really liked was cologne deodorant. He wears it to work or special occasions.

Another idea... DH was complaining yesterday about how he is always freezing in his office in the mornings (they crank the AC). I told him to leave a sweatshirt or something in his office, which he kind of ho-hummed. (I think he was thinking of a cardigan sweater or something, which he would NOT wear :lmao:)

Maybe there is a cool manly jacket I could get him to keep in his office...

(We live in Florida, so for 90% of the year he wears short sleeves every day)

That's so super sweet about the birthday party!

DH & I will probably do small gifts, if any, because we had a couple of big spends this year - motorcycle, furniture and a Disney trip.

No clue. Got him hot sauce of the month club for his birthday, which he loved, and now I have no idea how to top that :confused3

We never really do anything elaborate or expensive because of the money we spend on the children (now college, teen, and young adult) but unbeknownst to dh, I have been setting aside quite a bit of money for the last 18 months for his big birthday (50th) and there is enough leftover for a great xmas surprise toooo! For his birthday, we are taking a cruise in January. For xmas he is finding out that I have booked a Beatles weekend in Louisville over Memorial Weekend. He will be all smiles I'm sure.

Finally found a benefit to being single. No man to have to buy for. I always hated that when I was married because he just went out and got whatever he wanted so it was so hard to buy for him-Christmas, birthday, Father's day. Glad that 15 years is over. I still pay for whatever dd wants to get him and his gf but it is way less than I spent before. For his birthday we just went to store and dd got his fave bottle of wine she says he always drinks. He has a wine cellar so sometimes I will get him a wine tasting card for her to give. He makes good money so hard to buy for. Luckily his gf is giving dd ideas of things to buy for him lately so all I have to do is go get it and pay for it.

Great ideas! Keep em coming! I am thinking about getting DH a membership to the gun range.

I just ordered dh a personalized stainless steel travel coffee mug from York with 3 WDW pics of kids for $2.00 plus shipping! He loves anything with pics of kiddos!pixiedust:

I am going to get everyone in our family a 9mm Glock and a premuim annual pass for Christmas.. What kind of Glock are you thinking of?
