What are you getting at the ice cream shop?

Either a strawberry sundae or a banana split...it's a tough choice.

You guys are making me hungry for an ice cream sundae! Lol. My personal favorites are Reeses pieces sundae from Friendly's or any place that serves soft serve would be a vanilla cone with chocolate sprinkles 🍨🍦

But the legendary place was Fenton's Creamery in Oakland. It was actually quite inexpensive back then, and I could eat an entire Fenton's Special back then, although my favorite was the parfait, which was made of several layers of ice cream and sherbet. But the signature item was the Banana Special which is a massive banana split.
Was at Fenton's two weeks ago. Large chocolate Sundae with Swiss Milk Chocolate and Toasted Almond in the foreground, Black and Tan in the background.

I found that a lot of my old standbys are gone. Especially the parfait. And the prices are way, way up. My parents told me that a Banana Special was about $1.95 back in the 70s. Even adjusting for inflation, that's nowhere near the (I think) $18ish they charge now.

DQ - Peanut Buster Parfait or the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard when available.
Sonic - Root Beer Float
Most other places - Banana Split if available.
