OK, so I've seen the threads about all the various complaints and the threads complaing about the threads about all the various complaints. Hey, to each his own -- we all have the right of free speech. Just thought I would try to get a little positive vibe going on the boards.

So what are you excited about, looking forward to, etc?

Me?

I can't believe that I actually got DH to agree to the trip that we are leaving on in 5 days. I am so excited that I will be in WDW. This will be our 3rd trip to WDW together and I can't wait. YES, it will probably be very crowded and be very hot -- but hey, I will be in one of my favorite spots in the world and not stuck back at the office. So THAT is good enough for me.

What about you?

Just knowing that I won't be at work is good enough but there is more. How about knowing that we will be able to wake up late or stay up late and not get in trouble for going into work late for one? Knowing I will be able to see my favorite characters with my DW and DS(11). Ride all the rides we want to and really have to rush through the parks. Sit back and enjoy it. Relax.

Dancing all the way to POP   :cheer2: :cheer2: :cool1:

I WISH.....

With 2 kids in college in 3 months, and no schedules are the same, I wish I had something to be excited about. It may be 2 more years before we go back.

I'm excited because the other half actually agreed to stay on site for part of the time :love2: (he's one of the "why pay more than we have to just to sleep and shower" group - I think vacations are supposed to have a little luxury - I'm sick of Super 8 motels).

I'm excited to be looking forward to the new attractions and to seeing Animal Kingdom for the second time and to having made some real dinner arrangements, too, instead of counter service all the time.

I can't wait! :Pinkbounc  :bounce: When I get to Disney I just forget all my responsibilities and life's inconveniences and feel like a child again - every day's a great adventure (yes, I know, that's another park in another state)!

I'm excited to share the magic with my son again. We went last year - just the 2 of us - and had such a great time, I just have to do it again. He just thrived on the one-on-one time with Mom. He discovered GMR and the Beauty and the Beast show. (3 times each!) He met The Incredibles. One day, we never even left the hotel (ASMO) at his request. We swam a bit, had a caricature done, and had a PILLOW FIGHT.

I'm excited about spending time with my family and being able to soak up the wonderful atmosphere at MK! My favorite thing is to walk down Main Street and take it all in. :sunny:

I am excited because:

With my DH in graduate school and me finishing my undergrad I am just so happy that we found a vacation scheduled that was the same. :flower: :flower:

Then there is going on vacation with my mom!!! My dad passed away this year so it's been crazy. So we thought a family vacation to WDW would be a great way to spend part of the summer. :)

Also very excited about meeting Suzy and Perla the mice from Cinderella. Ok, I get to not be serious and be a kid again for four whole days!!! :cheer2:

I'm excited that we booked a package with free dining plan for September!!! It will be our first ever trip to Disneyworld! (If dh can get the time off work - we're waiting to hear on that (hopefully tomorrow) before we pay our deposit, so it's not set in stone, but I'm happy we're at least trying to go finally!

I'm excited about walking with my daughter down Main Street towards the castle for the very first time and especially about seeing her reaction when she realizes the secret place we'll be eating dinner on her 9th birthday *is the castle.

I'm excited to be spending some quality time with my 16 yo DS - he's growing up WAY to fast & WDW is always someplace where we can play & talk & reinforce that connection.....

I'm excited to be going back to the Dolphin - I just am sooooo in love with that resort - It's really my home away from home.....

I'm excited to spend the majority of our time at the Water Parks - it wasn't quite hot enough for me to go to them when we were there in April.

I'm excited to go play at the Adventurers Club & Comedy Warehouse.

I'm looking forward to trying a couple new dining experiences & revisiting some old favs....

I'm looking forward to discovering just what kind of trip this is going to be - Each one seems to be so unique - I love each one for different reasons....

I'm exited about our trip to WDW in December 2005. It will be the first trip ever with our new daugter, who we are expecting the first week of July!! :cloud9: I know she'll only be 6 months old and a lot of it might be kind of lost on her, but it's gonna be great for my wife, my parents, my inlaws and me! We've got a lot to celebrate! Can't wait! ::MickeyMo

Thanks to the OP for this thread! Today I was starting to want to not come and read or post anymore!

We leave in 21 days and I am looking forward to...

staying at BWV where we have Epcot steps away...

seeing Wishes again from the "secret" path between the hub and Tomorrowland...

having a blast at Typhoon Lagoon (as a non-swimmer, the first water park I felt I could truly enjoy!)...

riding the monorails...

and most of all knowing I have truly converted by DH and kids into true Disney fans!

I am excited about:

My two-year old DS making his first trip to WDW.
My parents and younger brother making their first trip.
My wife and I returning to the spot we spent our Honeymoon.
Watching Wishes with my little boy and wife.
Watching Illumination with my parents.
Riding Splash Mountain with my younger brother.
Seeing my little boy light up at the sight of WDW.
Some silly comedy and some good grub at Hoop-Dee-Doo.
Getting my dad soaked on Kali River Rapids.
Bringing my dad to the Binford Tools gift shop in MGM (hope it's still there).
Watching my little boy and wife dance at Playhouse Disney.
Racing my dad and younger brother in the Water Mice.
Christmas in Disney.
Singing Hakuna Matata.
Plugging my ears during It's a Small World.
Yo-ho-ho, a Pirate's life for me.
Seeing Cinderella's Castle again.
Walking the World Showcase.
Grabbing a "cold one" at Ice Station Cool.
Eating all the good food. (my wife's answer LOL)
Showing my dad that Astroworld doesn't compare to Disney World.
Introducing Grampy to Grumpy.
Riding Space Mountain for the first time (my wife was too chicken on HM).
Having our family Christmas picture taken in front of Cinderella's Castle.
Sending out Christmas cards saying "Wish you were here."
Waking up each day knowing I'm one day closer to Disney.
MVMCP.
Dessert at Beaches N Cream.
Thinking about all these things.

That is all. For now.

I'm excited that if my house is sold by the end of the summer, we'll all be going to Disney for 11 days/10 nights beginning on Thanksgiving Day.. ("All" is myself, my DD, her DH, my 6 yr. old granddaughter, my DD's in-laws and a friend from Florida..)

I'm excited that we'll probably stay at Pop (I think my granddaughter would love that) with a possible split stay at POR (which I would love!)..

I'm excited that I'll be purchasing an AP - to use while I'm staying in Florida from late December to the end of March..

I'm excited that while I'm in Florida I'll be able to drive down to WDW any time I want..

I'm excited about looking into part time work at Disney while I'm there for those winter months..

I'm excited that while I'm in Florida I'll have the opportunity to explore other areas of that great state - the places that tourists tend to forget about..

I'm excited that I'll get to spend some more time with my brother and his girlfriend.. They moved down there 2 years ago and my brother loves it so much he won't come back to NY for anything.. He looked horrible when he moved there - now he looks at least 15 to 20 years younger and it's great to see him sooooooo happy!

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Guess you could say I'm just plain ol' excited about everything!! :flower:

I am excited about walking down main street and seeing the castle, it is the best feeling in the world :earsgirl:

I have about 2 years to wait, but I'm most excited about taking my friends who are going with me-- we'll all be 18 by then and two of them that are going have NEVER been. I've been 13 times now... and I can't wait to see their faces when they see the castle for the first time!

I love spending time at Disney with my DGF. Her and I LOVE Disney. We are going to go back to MK on June 30, and we were there a little more then a week ago. I am going to surprise her with a trip to DisneyQuest on June 24. I am paying for our tickets and two of our friends' tickets, and have them surprise her by meeting us there, since they already live in Orlando. I love the magic of disney, the attention to detail, and the fact that I am a kid again, and don't have a care in the world.

I love knowing that you are going to the airport. Once onboard you know it is time to start relaxing and having fun. This time we get to drive from Boyenton Beach where my dad lives and drive to Orlando. What was supposed to turn out to be a 3 day weekend journey has now turned into a 7 day trip. Best of all it will be my bday and I will be 31. What better place to spend your bday, goto MNSSHP, and just relax then the World.

I also can't wait to resort hop and ride the monorail. The only free day we have will be my bday...So I guess I will be loving to park hop like crazy and riding the rides that will make feel truly excited.

so many things!!
