What are you buying for your 13/14 yeaar old daughter's for Christmas??

I'm essentially done except for stocking stuffers. Here's what I can remember off the top of my head:

13 year old:
Camera & accessories (camera bag, large memory card)
Nice silver necklace that I know she'll love
Hunger Games board game & a couple other small things related to the book
Black dressy boots
Books, books, books

16 year old:
Class ring -- obviously, she knows that's coming
Camera & same accessories her sister's getting
Black Uggs
Grey dress & grey flats
College sweatshirt that I know she'll love
Gas card
Books, books, books

Like most years, I have more ideas for one child than the other. This year the 16-year old is easy, while the 13-year old is tough for me.

My dd is getting
nook and a B&N giftcard
UGGs
coach purse
make-up
itunes card
Guilty Party Wii game and a pink wiimote (we needed this anyway but I thought I'd get pink and give it to her)
Abercrombie hoodie

It sounds like alot of $ but I used my CC rewards and found amazing deals on the UGGs and the purse so I didn't spend alot.

1. kyak ( suprize)
2. huge sephora makeup kit( wants)
3. amx reloadable card( needs for away games etc)
4. guiness 2011( something to read)
5. I tunes gift card (stocking)
new Taylor swift cd (stocking)
6. boots ( something to wear)
7. dj hero 2 for wii ( something to share)
probbally a few more small items for stocking

My sister came up with a really neat idea for my dd. She has just started wearing a bit of makeup but not often. She starts high school next year so my sister is taking her to Mac and buying her some make up.. and a session to learn how to apply it properly. A little bit goes a long way and I think she'd benefit from some lessons to apply properly and not over do it.:)

Other than that I am so stuck this year. I asked about Uggs and she jsut kind of shrugged. She doesn't really care. I know one gift for both kids will be 2 day tickets for Universal. We want to go on our next Disney trip so I'll give them those beforehand.
Books are always a big thing.. she reads at least 2 a week. Other than that I am looking at this thread for ideas .. I'm kind of stuck this year and she hasn't asked for anything.

DSis is not quite 13 this Christmas, but I figured 12.5 is close enough! I got her a Project Runway drawing kit as well as some products to help her design clothes/tees, etc. She loves fashion.

I know that my mom is getting her a lot of books since she has her nose buried in one in most of her free time.

I love the Project Runway kit. My DD, also 12.5, is into art, and fashion design and is a big fan of Project Runway. Thanks for the suggestion.

My DD14 is getting pins, HM stuff, iTunes gift card and BatB on DVD. Her sister got her a cute tee shirt and some jewelry. :) Our Christmas will be small this year, I lost my job in June and have been unsuccessful finding something new so I've been shopping since July. :) I'm sort of hoping I can convince DBF to let us give the kitten we are fostering to both the girls, that would be the best gift for them. :) But DD14 is pretty much covered, I'm basically done with her completely. :) DD10 on the other hand.....still trying to figure it out for her. :) And her bday is Dec 15th so that makes it harder.....

My dd13 has asked for:

Wii Party game
Bedroom makeover( Beach theme) new comforter and few seashell access.
Bike (grandma is buying this)
Camp Rock 2 DVD
Camp Rock 2 Karaoke
Texting plan for her phone( uh, don't know about that one )
Michaels gift card

I'm also getting her the new Taylor Swift cd
Makeup brush set
new slippers
Just Dance 2 Wii ( we have the first one and she loves to play that with me)

An umlimited texting plan would be a fabulous gift.

My Dd 13 as well as her 12 year old sister are getting mini coach wallets I got off egay and 500 dollar amex gift cards, that sounds like a fortune but I don't take them back to school shopping as it is hot here for a long time.Today will be in the 90s.

They are also gettin digital cameras and digital photo frames, VS pink sweats off ebayand the yougest is getting a harry potter game. Whilt it does sound like a fortune I would be spending tha ton school clothes here and there so it isn't really that much of a gift.
DD' birthday is also in DEc and she will get an Ipod and a kindle. I don't think she really wants the kindle after the newness wore off usingmine so if she doesn't on to ebay it goes or to my mom.

It sounds like a ton to me! I think I bought each of my kids two pairs of jeans and one pair of shoes for back-to-school.

Digital cameras. Their ages are 11 and 13

We got both DD's Olympus cameras when they were that age (well, 8 and 11). They are the shock proof, waterproof, can be in freezing temps etc.

Trying to decide which camera for my 2 gdaughters. Any ideas.

My DD14 wants the Samsung Dual Screen. Before she saw that one she wanted a Coolpix.

Honestly, though, if they haven't asked for a specific camera then I would watch the Black Friday deals. There are always some super camera deals then. In my experience, there is normally not a need to line up super early for a camera either since the supply is normally plentiful.

Thanks OP for the thread!

I wanted to comment on the digital cameras in the hopes that it will save someone else the grief we have gone through. I got DD a Kodak digi cam for Christmas last year. Got it on Black Friday and it was a great day. The thing only lasted about 2 days past the 90 day warranty. DD babied that thing. She probably had taken a total of 120 pics on it. Nothing excessive.
So, I went to Target to buy a new camera. I talked to the guy and he said too bad I hadn't bought the first camera there. He said her would NEVER, EVER recommend a Kodak. He suggested a Polaroid, and after researching it, we went with that. Well, one month later, it was eating batteries at the rate of a new set every hour. One trip to the zoo took 8 batteries! I googled the problem and it turns out it was a common problem. Camera was returned for a full refund. Did LOTS of research and ended up buying her a Fuji point and shoot. She LOVES that camera and so far, so good. My only complaint is that it has rechargeable batteries, so if they do lose their charge during a long outing, you can't just go get new batteries. I think we would both recommend it, though.
Note: We weren't prepared to spend the $150 or more needed at that time for a Canon or Nikon, so Fuji was the best option around $100. Also, I highly, highly, highly recommend spending the small amount to get Target's service/replacement plan if you purchase there. Well worth the money.

DD 14 is getting a digital camera, Disney scrapbook and supplies (plan to use my sons Hobby Lobby discount and 40% coupons to build a small stash), Wii Just Dance 2, AE gift card, movie gift card.

Thanks for the advice. What is the model Olympus you bought? Also see recommendation for Fuji point and shoot. Could you tell me the model of that one so I can compare. :)
