What are we entitled to ?

Hi there

We've just found out about the free dining option, but we're not sure how to get it or if we're even entitled to it.
We'll be on site for 3 weeks in September, we haven't booked any theme park tickets or dining plans yet.

We're from the U.K and on our Disneymoon

Any advise out there ?

Anybody is entitled to book the free dining plan so long as they are traveling during the days it is offered and staying at a Disney resort.

But not everyone is automatically entitled to the free DDP. They offer free DDP as an incentive, to get more people to rent more rooms. But once enough people rent rooms in each resort (and within each level of room in each resort), then the free DDP is no longer offered. I have NO IDEA what the numbers are, but let's say they stop offering the free DDP once the occupancy rate at a resort hits 80% (meaning 80% of the rooms are reserved for your travel dates). If the occupancy rate for your dates at your resort is already at 85%, then there will be NO free DDP available for anyone who makes a reservation now.

It'll be different for each type of room at each resort and for each set of travel dates.

Have you booked a fly drive, or is it a package. If you have booked a pacjkage then to get free dinning you will need to change it to a fly drive, then book the hotel direct with disney in the US (or disney.com, NOT .co.uk). (If you need the pphone number just say).

To be eledggible for free dining it has to be a package booked with disney, that means tickets as wel as hotel room.

I would do it this way if I were you, it saves a lot of money.

You can also book it with AAA if you are a member. Even if you are not, might be worth the cost of joining to get the savings. And, if you get a flat, you get it changed
