Sorry, I am sure this has been talked about already, but we noticed the construction in December, and it looked BIG. We have our guesses, but tell me what it is, please...?

Expedition Everest ...a rollercoaster through the himlayan mountains and inside to face a large yet animatronic. Goes forward and backward and will be wilder than Thunder and space mountains but probably not as wild ar Rocknrollercoaster.

thank you. I had heard of Expedition Everest, but forgot where they were putting it. I also liked your description of it. It sounds just right for me!
cham, who misses the Matterhorn Bobsleds....:p

The Matterhorn Bobsleds is one of my favorites. I have started getting sick on coasters now but the Matterhorn doesn't cause trouble. I like the coaster and the visuals. I think Expedition Everest will be very good but suspect the coaster will be wild enough to make me sick. :(

yeah, I get sick really easily too. I will try it though anyway. I don't get as sick on coasters as I do on other rides like teacups, lol. Do you know when it will be ready? It looked like it had a long way to go.

From what I have read it will not be ready until early 2006. Maybe, just maybe a little earlier for Chritmas of 2005.

"...inside to face a large yeti animatronic."

Looking less likely all the time.

well, another voice, that was a bit cryptic. Care to explain?

You can read Mr. AV's illuminating posts (with which I agree almost 100%)in the Rumors section. It is sad that the Yeti might be missing. Perhaps a loud growl or maybe yelp will issue from the caverns instead.

um, I thought I was in the Rumors section...? There are only two pages here in this forum, and I looked through them for references to AK, but didn't see anything about this.
That is sad if they are afraid to put a yeti in an Everest ride. What, did Nepal threaten to boycott WDW if they put it in there?

AV has been posting for a couple of years, and we've had the discussion about Expedition: Everest! for a while now... The reason we only have 2 pages, is that threads are periodically archived & moved out of the active forums. Trust me, it has come up before.

I'd bet that AV's comment has more to do with economics than politics. We've seen a lot of rides and concepts killed by micro-management and budget-slashing in the past 5 or 10 years, and it sounds to me like he's hinting that the Management might be at it again.
