What are the top 10 things you need to pack?

We too bring panckos. Mainly for GRR and Splash. We figure one per day per person. We have been at DL as well when it rained everyday and no one was prepared. We were and has a blast!!! We used a pancho to cover the stroller while we were on rides so DD didn't get a wet bottom when she sat down. When we wore the panchos we put a baseball cap on first Then put the pancho hood on so our faces didn't get pounded with rain.

Also we bring an extension cord as the hotels always seem you just have plugs in the bathroom or else you have yo unplug the TV

Shiny pennies and a roll of quarters for smashing pennies

Well, seems I'm the odd one out. We don't ever bring ponchos or umbrellas and dont ever have a problem We usually find the water rides are to get wet and are fine getting wet. If we bring anything it is sock to change cause walking around in wet socks all day, well, that is awful.

We normally go in November, so the weather can be chilly. So we bring the panchos because even a little wet can be really cold if it's chilly

For 2 adults (and without the obvious clothes, shoes, toiletries):

Camera
Hand sanitizer
Tylenol/Allergy medicine
Bottled water
Phone/camera chargers
Chapstick
Sunscreen

You aren't alone...we have never used ponchos or umbrellas either. Luckily it hasn't rained that last several years we've been. And as for the wet rides we usually try to do them just before we leave the park either for a nap or for the evening so we aren't wet all day.

As for our top 10:
- Two pairs of shoes
- extra contacts/solution & backup glasses
- sunglasses
- Sudafed & Advil
- Peppermint foot lotion
- backpack to take into park
- plastic bags for taking treats home
- Markers to label photopass cards with date (we use a new one each day to avoid losing pictures)
- disposable shower puffs & razors (don't have to worry about bringing them home)
- extra batteries and chargers for phones and cameras

It seems funny to me how many include Ponchos on their list. Don't you know 'It never rains in California"? It really doesn't. It rains sunshine. I think the majority of the time we have great weather.

Is this sort of thing some continued "hazing" sort of joke? At least half, probably more, of our trips have included rain. I grew up in CA (albeit San Jose), and it rains there. It rains in So Cal too. But there's always a comment like that...it's so odd.

I bring a poncho for myself b/c of rain possibilities and for the water rides. DS and DH don't wear ponchos, and they go back to the hotel when it rains (wimps!). Their dislike of rain at DLR caused me to get my first ride on Grizzly...in December, after dark, in the rain, oh yeah....

What I have to pack? Clothes, money, two pairs of shoes, and admission. Though with APs, as long as I packed enough money, I could even forget the APs and still get in ($20 per person to get a new one printed if you lose them). Everything else is extra. Well, actually, toothpaste, b/c we don't use fluoridated toothpaste, and I don't feel like spending my vacay hunting down a Trader Joes etc to get what we use. Oh, and arnica cream and other homeopathics.

Of course, we pack a whole lot more, but those are the essentials for us. Everything else can be replaced or ignored for the trip.

This 'top ten' list keeps getting bigger. :rolleyes1
Don't forget cotton swabs,aka Q-Tips. ;)

while we're crazy desert folk who usually don't miss an opportunity to dance the the rain, i think with our next trip in December we'll be remembering the ponchos--especially for the water rides and protecting the stroller. And i'm not sure my LOs have been parched enough in their young lives to get as excited about a drizzle as we do.

things on our list:
shelf stable milk & other allergy-safe foods
pre-purchased disney souvenirs to be 'delivered by Mickey' in the night :rolleyes1
tire pump for the stroller
insulated Foogo (thermos) bottles for water
dishsoap for washing our bottles/cups in the sink
disinfecting wipes and pump spray for handles, tables, etc.

We are technically two adults as my DD, and travel companion, is 19. The only thing I didn't see listed that we always bring is a nightlight. I hate waking up in a dark, strange room in the middle of the night. lol Oh, and hard candy or jelly beans to help ward of boredom or hunger. I often bring jerky too for when my blood sugar starts to get low, but not always.

DH and I always bring crystal light pouches or the koolaid pouches to put in our water bottles so we can refill in the drinking fountains all day! :thumbsup2

I also bring a package of wet ones wipes. They are better than hand sanitizer in my opinion because they won't leak all over your bag. :confused3

Ziploc baggies to put camera, cell phones, wallets etc. in... you never know when your bag may get wet!

I can't think of any other "must needs" off the top of my head right now though!
