Almost time to book attractions and as much as I have dreaded this part, it is time.

So what are the *HOT*HARD TO GET*COVETED* or even just say SMART FP+ attractions to book? Including times- evening, morning? Particularly in MK. Obviously Epcot and DHS are easy to figure out.

We will do rope drop most mornings so thinking evening times will be best? Also will hold out one for Mine Train as a just in case as we are there in the middle of May.

We used to be semi regulars years ago but this is a whole new Disney for us so TIA:)

I was JUST coming here to post this :rotfl2: I book ours in less than a week and I am STUMPED. I can't decide if we want to use a FP+ for the new parade or not. Then we have our favorites too...like BTMR, HM, SpM, Space M etc...how do we choose? lol If only we had four per day :confused3

I'm also a bit stumped and make my FP+ selections in 3 days. I know we'll use some for Princess meet and greets but beyond that, I have no idea. We are also rope drop lovers. This would be so much easier if we could do FP+ in multiple parks on a single day.

There's a thread out there somewhere, written by Mesaboy, which lists the FP+ attractions and his opinion of their "ranking"/priority.

I'll see if I can find it, and post the link. Mesaboy is a real WDW expert and has great insight into the process. I found the info very helpful for my trip last month.

I've actually been using Mesaboy's thread. It's quite helpful. I'll have three days I can use MK FP+ at so I am just stumped on what to pick for my last one. ETWB is an option, however i saw the youtube video and it looks kind of lame to be honest  My youngest would probably enjoy it, but that's about it. The middle girl...maybe. Not sure I want to waste a FP+ on that because we love the rides. I do plan to use one for 7DMT too and will book a dummy to hold the spot. Just not sure what to pick for my 9th one.

You can repeat rides as well??? That might be an option.

My basic thought is if you are going to do rope drop then schedule your fast passes for the afternoon or evening. As for what to get a fast pass for: Pick what is most important to you/your family. If you are really excited about the parade, then use it on that. If you prefer pictures with princesses, use the fastpass for that. You can also select fastpasses for specific members of your party so not everyone has to have the same ones. If you love riding the coaster, so do most people so those are very popular. You will probably get to ride quite a few rides by rope drop. So maybe get them for things you don;t think you will be able to do during that time. Also, if there are rides you like to ride more than one time, maybe use a fastpass on that. It really is all about personal preference. But this post listed above is very informative too!

My problem is I don't know what I should head to first and ride at rope drop and what things I should FP+. :confused3

What I didn't realize when I was booking my FP+ selections: think about park layout. For example, when you are doing your MK selections: if you decide to do Tomorrowland at RD for SM, do Indy, BLSRS, possibly Pooh and Dumbo all early, then do your FP+ selections for mid afternoon at PP, BTMRR and JC or POTC. Or do the opposite and use RD in Adventureland. Our first couple days I had us crossing the park because I didn't really think about what was located where, until I sated walking around.

I personally chose JC over POTC as it seems to back up more. My family will never, ever gain do the photo pass opportunity that is ETWB, so that knocks 1 off my choices. We all agreed that was an hour of our lives we will never get back and chalked it up to experience! We are also not fireworks or parade people, so I probably have some advantages in MK booking. YMMV, but just try thinking about what your "normal" Disney day looks like.

Popping in to say thanks for the compliments and to say how happy I am to help folks separate the FP wheat from the chaff. :)
