What are the rates for Poly through AAA?

Hey Poly experts! I want to get the best rates for Nov. 2008 through AAA, I know they haven't come out yet but what is your experience with getting a great price when staying here?

not sure if this will help, but fpr ;ast week in sept this year I am paying 329 per night. So I am assuming that next year it will go up between $10-15 per night.

BEFORE the AP Room rate came out, we had a AAA Rate Room only booked for Aug 8th - Aug 19th. 11 nights, value season and the AAA room rate per night was 279.00. before tax. $314.00 with tax.

Once the recent AP Rate came out, i got the room now for $249.00. For 11 nights with the AP Rate it is $3081.

11 nights at the AAA Rate it was +/-$3,450.

Again this is value season. I went back and forth. I tried to switch to CBR with the AP Rate this week. Same dates, NADA. There is nothing available for my time, full 11 nights, with any discount.

I would have to break up the reservation into 3 seperates ones to get an AP Rate or AAA Rate.

So yesterday to end all suspense, i called CRO and paid off the remaining balance on our trip. SO........POLY it is.

My advice, book as early as you can. because once an AP Room rate for your time frame comes out....the rooms will go quick.

This year AAA rates are a certain percent off the rack rate. Value and Mod resorts are 20% in value season, 15 % in summer, regular and peak. Delux resorts are 15% in value, 10 % in regular and peak.

So Poly is a delux
November 1-24 this year was reg season so the 10% off
Garden Rack of 385 AAA 346.50
lagoon rack 480 AAA 432
MKView rack 515 AAA 463.50
November 25-30 is Value season so 15% off
Garden Rack 329 AAA 279.65
Lagoon Rack 425 AAA 361.25
MKView Rack 455 AAA 386.75


Last year was a percent off as well. I would expect that once Disney finally releases their pricing for 2008, aaa will follow along with whatever they work out. However with the new pricing structure that everyone keeps referring to, I dont know that it will work out quite so easily next year.

So how would this work if I booked a room-only for June 2008 now. AAA rates obviously aren't out yet. Can I have them flag my reservation and change it to AAA rate when they come out or do I have to be on top of things and call back as soon as the rates are released?

Thanks this helps a lot but I'm fairly new so can you explain "rack rate", AP rate and what the "buzz" is on the new pricing system for 2008 because I haven't heard anything. Thanks again for the post!!!!!!!
