We are staying on site during the middle of June (staying five nights), I've read more than likely it will rain everyday during the afternoon. I was wondering about what time the parks will close?

Is this plan a good plan---get to the parks at opening (we aren't a family that sleeps in), ride until noonish, eat lunch, go back to RPR, take a break swim, nap...whatever. Then eat dinner around 5:30 somewhere in citywalk, then back to the parks, What do you think? Is that the best way to avoid the heat, the crowds and the rain? I'm hoping the parks will stay open at least until ten, that way we'll have several hours in the evening after we eat dinner and the sun goes down.

The park hours for the middle of June are 9am-8pm are located here: http://www.universalorlando.com/hou...dar=uo_park_hours&year=2009&month=6&year=2009

Your plan of getting there early, going to the hotel around lunch time and then back over in the evening is a good one. The showers we get in the summer usually don't last very long so just hang out in a store with A/C until they pass.

Well, I'm a little disappointed by the 8:00 pm closing, I really thought the parks would stay open until at least 9:00pm. But thanks for the info! :)

I wonder if the 8pm closing time is a sign that they don't expect the parks to be very crowded until the end of June.

Thats what it is cause we have went in june and stayed offsite and it wasn't very busy and we have went in july and the parks would be packed.
A big plus in june or july is if your staying onsite you have fotl and really don't need to be in such a rush :thumbsup2
