Of getting moved in to my 2BR at BW early? I am arriving on the 3rd and staying in a studio at BW, then on the 6th the rest of my family arrives and we move over to a 2BR unit. They should arrive around noon - I am hoping that I will be in the room by then so they will be able to unload the car and get settled in right away. Since Disney knows I am on property, and in fact both of those rooms have the same reservation number, will that increase the likelihood that my room will be ready early?

I started calling a couple weeks ago to see about adding the 5th in the 2BR and dropping the studio for that night, but my booking category for the rest of the stay was not available for the 5th. I didn't wait-list it because I already had both of those stays waitlisted for Beach Club. DH would like to move over there, but the boys prefer Boardwalk.

There's always a chance.

Until our trip last month, we had NEVER EVER had a room ready before 1-2pm (and even then, we thought that was great!). Well last month, we moved from AKV to BCV, arriving at 10:30am & could not believe it when our 2BR room WAS READY! We were shocked. We were standing there in our swim suits (pool bag in hand) at the check-in counter, ready to spend the morning & afternoon by SAB & the CM said we could go on up. :faint:

Now, most likely, I'd say there's a greater chance that you won't be in by noon, but......like I said, "there's always a chance".

In 25+ trips to WDW/DVC we've never been in before 2 at BWV or AKV ... sometimes early room-readiness happens at BCV, SSR, OKW & BLT...never at BWV or AKV.

Is your 2-BR a lock-off? If so, you could talk to the front desk about the possibility of keeping your studio (as the second bedroom of your 2-BR lock-off)--that would make waiting for the one-bed portion less disruptive?

Since BWV only has lock-off 2BR villas, there is a chance that you could stay in the studio portion you already have and they wouold just add the adjoining 1BR villa. I would make that a request on your reservation now, repeat it as a request at check-in, repeat the request the evening before and also ask again around 8am the morning your guests arrive.

If possible, the resort will try to allow you to stay in the same studio. Depending on when the 1BR villa is vacated and cleaned you could have the entire 2BR before noon (or around 4pm). If they can't keep you in the same studio, you will need to vacate by 11am and are still at the mercy of other guests leaving in a timely fashion and then the Mousekeeping schedule.

I'd just put a BIG smile on your face and ask several times (letting them know how much you'd appreciate not having to move). The worst that would happen is having to vacate the studio by 11am and being 'homeless' until 4pm. :teeth:

Good luck! :)

We've done as Doc suggests several times at OKW, and have always been allowed to stay. The only issue I had was that I wanted the studio cleaned again too, and I had to pay extra for that, but that's what I expected as well.

We have never had our room ready early at BWV, and we have stayed there multiple times. We just expect our room to be ready there between 2:00 and 4:00 - as that is when they are always ready. We also have never had our room ready early at KV and BLT - always at 4:00 (or later) at those 2 resorts.

Thanks for the suggestions and for sharing your experiences. Unfortunately my studio and 2 br reservations are in different booking categories so I wouldn't be able to keep my studio as part of my 2 br.

We have stayed at bw twice, both times the room was ready when we got there, but both times we arrived in the afternoon.
