What are the Odds? January 2 nights

Is it really that hard to get last minute ressies? I have been inquiring for a week and they say it is booked (although the resorts are not). Is there any strategy to this and do you think there might be any cancellations that get me in?

you are a little to late for the best one.

at 30 days points go into holding - so called at 31 days can get it at times.

right now would say you are too wait for this Jan - but hey some cancellations happen at 7 days before arrival.

would get a back up reservation - or not plan on going.

I'm at the Dolphin - for $250 a night! It's a last minute trip so didn't know about it 30 days out. I have to rent the points and was hoping to help out all of these threads needing to get rid of their points but there is nothing!

I began calling last month around the middle of December for a reservation towards the end of January. Everything was full or I could get one night at one resort but the other night was not available or I had to move resorts. I was finally able to get into OKW for the two days without having to move rooms. So, I would say that your chances are not very good.

Just because someone wants to sell their points at a fire sale price, doesn't mean that there will be anything available to reserve on points. This weekend is the marathon if that's when you are trying to get there.

I've been trying for over a month to get a studio at SSR for the night of the 18th. I have had absolutely NO luck. Luckily I had enough developer points left to book a grand villa! I keep trying to get that studio but I think I am just going to have to suck it up for one night in a GV.
