We raise pigs each year. This spring the boys will be getting a few goats and maybe a beef cow or 2. DS whose almost 5 wants chickens too (been there done that not sure I want to do it again).
Yes we raise them and the pigs for meat Please don't clobber me for it.We've go the land might as well do something with it. Both my boys already help with chores (not so much in the winter 'cuz I don't feel like dressing them up) they always dhave done the dog and cat most of the time will do the horse food and hay. So since they show the responsibility I guess I can't refuse them.

We thought of the names because I kept saying the kids could get kittens in the spring. My then 6 yo's teacher told them it was the first day of spring in March and my dd came running home expecting to get kittens that day! So I kept saying maybe April or May.
Two cats: Misty (the Spoiled Brat) and Otis (Mr. Jealous). They're brother and sister and look very much like. Sometimes, it's hard to tell them apart.
Dogs (in order of seniority) - Anni, Katie, SuzyQ, Savanna, Simon, Isaiah, Buddy, Dori, Raven and Monty. Anni and Katie are mutts. The rest are longhaired dachshunds. Monty and Raven are standards, the rest are mini's.
