I was asking DD11 and DS17, in particular, what they most wanted to do on our upcoming trip.

We have been 2 previous times, in 2000 & 2001, although somehow DD11 is absolutely CONVINCED we have been 3 times.

We have the Passporter & the UG (DD11 has reviewed both, DS17 won't touch them).

DD11 has made multiple lists (or keeps refining her list, however you want to look at it) of which attractions she must see. It is pretty much all what I would call "rides". She's not too big on the scary ones, after seeing on the news that someone actually died on RnR she isn't going on that, doesn't want to go on ToT. Her #1 priority though is Blizzard Beach, closely followed by Typhoon Lagoon.

DS17 however, was the big surprise. Top on his list, of course, is DisneyQuest (hope it still open in October). After that, though, he said he wanted to make sure & see all of the SHOWS! I was so surprised (and happy, I love the shows).

So I'm curious, what are the must-do, can't miss activities/rides/whatever for your bunch?

(We are 80 days out, I am so excited!!:cheer2:

bump - I'd really like to know other kids' favorites, maybe we are missing something...

My kids, 8 and 10, are thrill ride junkies. So our list of "must dos" is...

RnRC
TOT
Star Tours

Test Track
Soarin
Mission Space

Everest
Dinosaur
Prim. Whirl

Space MT
Splash MT
BTMRR
Buzz

Any other other rides and shows are things that don't have to be done every trip(oh, Beauty and the Beast show does HAVE to be done once a trip)
but we go quite often so some time between the shows is necessary. I can only take Little Mermaid about once a year!

DS12 & DS8 favs are
1). RnR
2). Mission:Space
3). Soarin
4). Test Track
5). Resort pools and/or water parks
6). Star Tours
7). Muppets***
8). Buzz
9). BTMRR
10). Space Mountain

***As for Muppets, you have to understand that as a child of the 70's the Muppets are a fav of mine. I somehow managed to pass that on to my DB21. Since their uncle (who just graduated college) thinks the Muppets are cool, my boys think its ok to still like the Muppets. Am i making sense?

As for shows, they still like Indy & there are acrobatic performers at Epcot (Krystos I think???) near the fountain. Not that we go out of our way to see them but if we are in the area & they are there we always stop. Jammitors too.

My kiddos are 11, 9, and 7. For them the must do's tend to be non-ride. I mean we will ride most of the rides but these are the non-rides. The ride we all can't wait to ride again though is Soarin'.

Picture next to Mickey's mailbox (we have one from each trip and it's a nice visual on how they are changing).

Ride the monorail around the loop

They love to eat at the Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe in MK

The miniature trains in Germany at Epcot.

Eating pizza while waiting for Fantasmic.

Feeding the ducks at our resort - they have food there to buy- the kids love that.

I think it's fun that my kids remember those kinds of things as well as the fun of the rides. That's why WDW is so much more than a theme park!

Last time we were there DS was 15. His list is

RnRoller
Test Track
Splash
Space
Big Thunder
ToT

MinnieGirl33 and PixiePower1971, no problems with Mission Space? DD11 is just getting warmed up to roller coasters, I am really looking forward to Mission Space (I realize it is not a coaster, but intense). I'm hoping she will enjoy it. Spinning doesn't seem to bother her. She's not crazy about dark rides, (from when she was 6) but is going to try all but TOT this time.

My DD8's list of must-do rides includes:

POTC (although we haven't -GASP!-seen the movies yet!)
Jungle Cruise
Small World
Peter Pan
Swiss Family (because she loves the movie)
Soarin' (never been but really wants to)
All of the WS pavillions (she's very much into travel and learning about other cultures)

Hmmm...must of those were on my "must do" list as a kid...coincidence? ;)

She knows the characters are "not real" so she doesn't care about getting autographs (although I'm hoping she'll change her mind when the pixie dust is floating thru the air). She has no desire to ride anything remotely fast or scary, which is fine by me! She also doesn't care about going on Dumbo, which saves me at least an hour of standing in line! LOL

He likes everything, but these are on the top of his list.

My DS (9) loves Buzz. That is usually our first stop. He also likes to see the Power Rangers. His other favorites are TOT and RNR. He likes to go on the train. His ultimate favorite thing is the resort pool. We try to do that every evening.

Splash Mountain is my kids absolute favorite.

Each one has there own must do's though:

DS11: RRC
DD7: Expedition Everest (her first real roller coaster ever!)
DD6: Kali River Rapids

For dd it's Rock and Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror, ds-11 is It's Tough To Be a Bug and Tea Cups, ds-7 Star Tours all the way, and for Ds-5 this may be against the mouse code [lol], but he LOVES Popeye, so he can't wait to ride the Popeye Ride (Bluto's Bilbarge something or other) at Universal Islands of Adventure

Well, my kids are younger than yours, DD10 & DS5, but I just went and got the list they have been working on together for weeks. Coincidentally, it was sitting on the couch because we watched the Planning video (again!) tonight, and my DD was taking 'notes' and making sure they didn't miss anything. LOL! From the page she titled "ABSOLUTELY YES YES": ;)

Soarin'
Test Track
Buzz's Spin
Space Mtn
Thunder Mtn
Splash Mtn
Expedition Everest
Dinosaur
Tower of Terror
Rockin Roller Coaster
See Buzz Lightyear
Meet the Incredibles

and scribbled off to the side - Haunted Mansion (must have caught her attention on the video tonight)

They're not mine, but the ones I go with occasionally--a DD8 and a DS6--just love Dumbo and Peter Pan. And DD really loves Small World. Go figure. :confused3

DS 9 1/2

RnR Coaster
EE
Soarin
Splash & Space Mt
Kali River Rapids

Buzz--we have to go on this over & over & over during the trip as everyone competes for the highest score shooting the aliens (DH loves this too!)

Haunted Mansion

Bird Show (can't remember name at AK)
Indiana Jones Show
Fantasmic

besides all the aboves..........My 12 yr old Nephew...MUST MUST MUST get WDW Pizza delivered to the resort room at least one night!!!!!! And Penny Presses :cool1:

My Grandsons 5, 4, 2, the two older ones are into riding:

Race Cars in Tomorrowland
Pooh
PeterPan
Buzz

I'm sure the 2 yr old will have his favorites in May of 07, we will be all going together, while Mom Mom and Pop Pop go alone this Dec.

My kids are younger, so most rides like ToT and EE are ridden solo by me.

The kids love Small World, the railroad, Jungle Cruise, Country Bear Jamboree, Soarin, Playhouse Disney live on Stage, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, The Magic of Disney Animation, Kilimanjaro Safaris.

I can't wait until they get bigger so we can all ride the coasters together.
