What are the more "American" choices at Boma?

We have an ADR one evening for dinner at Boma during our WDW trip in July. We want to try this restaurant because of the more exotic choices of food. However, just in case we don't care for too much of the more ethnic choices (never had African food so not sure how much we will like everything), what kinds of more "run-of-the-mill" foods do they usually offer? What do they offer that is kid-friendly? We have very little ones (DS who just turned 3 and other DS who will be 1 in May) and I want to make sure they have a few choices of their own! :)

Thank you,
Bonnie

The food is not really authentic African, more of an African flair. There are meat selections that are as good as and no different in my opinion, then any steakhouse. There are also salads that are pretty straight forward. I don't think you need to worry too much about it.

I agree with the above poster, boma was really not that exotic. It was very good, but plenty of choices that were far from african.Prime rib, some type of chicken.roasted potatos, great and i do mean great desert buffet.you shouldnt have any problems.

They have a kid-friendly table w/mac and cheese and a bunch of straightforward foods for the less adventurous.

We tried it twice - and twice we ate from the kid's table. Mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, pasta with a plain tomato sauce.

The desserts are fantastic!!!!!! As is the pressed pot of coffee.

Great, all of my son's favorites will be there!

I heard about the fabulous desserts and we are sure looking forward to those!
