Some of the gas stations in our town are using the hurricane as an excuse to spike prices. One was 2.89 a gallon and across the street (literally) it was 2.69. We're running out of gas. The towns and parishes East and South of us are completely out of fuel. ug:

itb jumped 30 cents today. now up to 3.31 cents!!!!
i heard on the news today that there are some gas stations in atlanta, georgia with prices of $6.00! omg, that's waaaaay too much to be paying for gas. we need to start a protest!

They have jumped to about $3.30-$3.50 here. Everyone is expecting them to top $4.00 by the end of the week.

And really, we have no reason to complain, everything could be a ton worse and if you don't want to pay that much, take out your bike

at our local stations it's normally $2.55 or $2.40 per gallon.

our local stations or the ones i see are usually like maybe 2.00 - 2.25 ( i think ) but recently i have seen like *3.00*! its crazy lol i think that everyone is scared that they will run out of gas becuase of the huricane that shut down the gas factory or something lol idk thats just what i heard. but i feel that something should change cause whats gonna happen when like we all start to drive or whatever lol we'll be broke haha

Well, now our town is running out. It's a madhouse around here! Wedon't have school today because our school busses (all of them in our parish) went to pick up people from the superdome. We're getting a bunch of people at our school who are refugees. Out of about 6 gas stations in our town, only 2 still have gas. Everyone's running around like their hair's on fire to get gas! Heck, we had a fist fight occur down at a station over gas! It's rose again to about 2.99 or it may be more today. I'll have to see. Well, That's about it. Thanx!

We've got prices at about (cheapest) $3.75 a gallon on one end of town and at the other (cheapest) $4.50 a gallon. The cheapest place in town which normally is backed up onto the street everyday for gas at $2.10 a gallon (yes that's the cheapest in my area on an ok-day) was at $3.00 before anyone else. My dad took my car to fill it with gas, paid $2.98 for regular and while he was sitting there they got a call raise the price to $3.35. Thankfully he had used Speedpass so they couldn't charge him the new price since he technically already paid.
But we've been told by a lot of local officals that the prices are going to go even higher soon because we're sending a lot of help down South to help the victims of the hurricane and once all vehicles fill before leaving, it could wipe our area clean of the gas we have left. So we're expecting prices to hit $5-6 by sunday afternoon

gas here has literally jumped over a doller in the last week.... i paid 2.50 last week (that was considered cheap then) now i'm lucky if i can find a station for 3.50.....Most of the gas stations are just using the hurricane as an excuse to charge more for gas, and i think that is sad, that they could be that selfish when there are people starving, they just see it as an excuse to make more money for themselves, As a teen without a job who is still expected to pay for her own gas i'm worried that i won't be able to get to school next week with the way prices are increasing (and i can't ride the bus because i don't have a full class schedule, meaning that i only have 3 classes a day where the rest of the school has 4)

My friends who drive who get no gas money from their parents are panicking (we're all broke). School starts in four days and they have no money to get gas to ge tthem to school. It really stinks.
