I know they vary from state to state. How old does a child have to be to not be in a booster in Florida? I tend to go overboard for safety because nothing is more important to me than my kids! Thanks much! :confused3

There is no booster seat law in FL, in fact children are only required to be in a CRS until age 4, children 4 and 5 must use a seatbelt or a CRS.

Quote :
"Florida state law requires children under age 5 to be protected with an approved and properly used child restraint device. For children under 3, Florida law requires that they be in a separate car seat or a car seat that is integrated into the vehicle. For children ages 4 and 5, a separate car seat, integrated car seat or seat belt may be used. "

When my dd's were young we just followed the same rules as at home when traveling it was easier, less confusing for the kids and in the case of states like FL, safer :) (IMHO)

Horrible child seat laws in Fl, basically once your child turns 4 you can tie them to the front grill if you want.
