Our in the middle of the water- the two lines look like travel paths between docks but I'm pretty sure I've never seen a reference to any sort of water transport at Epcot.

Yep. They're boats.

They just go accross the lagoon.

They are indeed the ferry boats that travel from one side of the lagoon to the other. There are docks at each location. They are the same "Friend Ship" type boats that run to the Epcot Resort Area and HS.

They are the routes for the friendship boats that runs during the day but they stop early, maybe around 6:30 or 7:00 when they are getting ready for illumination

That's so funny. Shows just how narrow your focus can be while walking around the parks.

We have always known they were there but never stopped to take one till this year. We did the Loop 2 in May and Loop 1 last month. They aren't the fastest mode of transportation but they are a nice break from walking
