what are the "do not miss" meals at disney?

I don't think there is such a thing as a "don't miss" meal.

I've many trips under my belt. There are some peoples "don't miss" meals that we haven't tried yet. Somehow, I still have a great trip and sleep at night. On occation, we pass up favorites to try something new. Other times we go back to a favorite to discover it isn't as good as we remember. Sometimes we try someone else's "don't miss" meal and don't like it - sometimes we try someone else's don't miss meal and find it was great!

That said, we usually try and fit in one character meal. We usually put one signature dining place on our list. We usually try one thing we haven't been to (easy for you) and one old favorite (harder for you).

Are you on the dining plan then? If not, maybe look into it. The two little ones won't be charged.

I've been to Disney when all three of our kids were at your kids ages at one point or other (mine are 12, 10, 9 now) I've been when they any of them were 6 months, nine months, 18 months, two, three, four, you name it! :)

Here's what I would suggest based on my kid's reactions...

Cinderella's Royal Table (any of the meals, we like to do lunch but if you can pick up a cancelled breakfast it's a treat to get an early reservation that gets you into the park before it opens, that way you're already in the park and on the side with all the kiddie rides before it gets bad) Just a tip, stick to Magic Kingdom on weekdays, avoid it on the weekends, you'll be glad!

Liberty Tree Tavern (it's very easy to sit down for a good meal...sometimes buffets (like Chef Mickey's) can be a pain when you have kids your ages...while one parent is helping the younger one with the plate you miss an important character...) It's just more convenient to have them come to you and play with your family at your table while you can enjoy a nice time sitting down...our best character interaction came from LTT not Chef Mickey's..just too loud and too many tables to contend with.

Sci-Fi....or Prime Time...we prefer Sci Fi but your baby may not like the darkness in there...my kids still always want to go to Sci Fi...it's just fun eating in cars! :)

'Ohana's...they have some fun games for the older kids to run around and do, if your oldest is too shy, this may not be as much fun, my kids were hams and loved the chance to push coconuts with a broom! :)

those would be my not misses in the order that I like them...

Enjoy!!! And have fun planning your first trip! We'll hopefully be there 4/25-5/2...so our paths may cross! :)

Let me throw the Hollywood and Vine Character Breakfast at the Disney Studios (aka MGM ) out there now that I now the ages of your kids. We just returned from our trip and my DD 3 LOVED that breakfast the most. The buffet was good, the restaurant spacious and well laid out, the character interaction with the Little Einsteins and JoJo and goliath were outstanding and the interactive singing/dancing every 15 min or so kept her entertained so that Mommy could actually sit down and eat something:thumbsup2 . Well worth the price!!!:goofy: :sulley: :butterfly
