My DH and I are taking our 2nd honeymoon next May WITHOUT our three kids. We are thinking of staying at the Swan/Dolphin because we like the location.

What are the differences between the Swan and the Dolphin?

Are the rates always the same?

Is one closer to the pool?

Is one a better location for walking to Epcot?

If you have Sheraton points, can you use them at either resort?

Thanks for any information you could give me and your preferences of one over the other.

Plus, does anyone have a link to good pictures of their pool area (not their website - I've been there)

Thank you!

The Swan is smaller and Dolphin has a food court, Tubbies. Both share a pool which is very nice. As far as I can remember your room location will make more difference in how close the pool is, as it is located in the middle of the 2 hotels. There may be more rooms at the Dolphin that are closer?. The rates are the same, and you can use Starwood points. Get a nice cool drink and read the 2 threads above (Glo's and Dreamflights) there is sooo much info in both of them about room choices and points. WE really enjoyed the Swan.:D

A swan is an elegant bird with white feathers and a dolphin is a marine mammal, which lives in the water:p :p :p :p

I believe another difference is the Swan has queen beds while the Dolpin has double beds as standard.

The S/D FAQ will have lots of other info.

Here's a thread where we talked about some of the differences.

I know there are many other threads too. Both hotels are wonderful. We've been staying there whenever possible for about 10 years. We just got back and I must say both hotels have done MUCH better than I have maintaining their physical appearance over the last decade! You'll love either one and the best part is that you'll be so tickled that you'll go back to try the other one! I feel the same way about Yacht/Beach, I can't decide, love them both!!!
