What are the current incentives?

What incentives are now being offered? I've toyed and toyed with buying and I keep putting it off, but given the new AP program, I'm seriously considering buying when we go...7/2-7/10.

We just bought in last week and got the $8 discount per point and were able to buy in with Dec as our use year. We got all of the points for Dec 04 - Nov 05 and were allowed to bank all of them. Then in Dec 05 we will get our next round of points. So basically we are starting off in Dec with double our normal points, but we also have to start paying the dues when we close.

Well, as they say, timing is everything. Prices just went up. They went up on June 5 for new owners and yesterday for add-ons!

I believe the current incentive at SSR is $98-$8 = $90, plus Disney pays the 2005 maintenance fees.

I also believe the current price for sold-out resorts through Disney is now $92 with no incentives.

You should contact a guide to be sure, because these incentives are subject to change.

i just bought in and got a $1200 credit off the total purchase of 150 points (which is given to you toward your down payment), and got 150 bonus points for the rest of the year (dated Feb 05), and of course will get the regular 150 points in Feb 06. not sure about no maintenance fees though.

I just purchased 150 points at SSR and received a 100 point bonus, not 150. How did you receive 150?

indea88, i dont know, they told me 150 point bonus, which is really backdating my use year to Feb05, so i am getting this years points, plus feb 06 points in feb. you should ask your guide...

yep, like reedy creek said, I also got my points backdated. I have 200 now, and 200 again in my UY of Feb.

Hello! I just signed and sent back my papers yesterday. I am paying $98 per point minus the $8 per point incentive ($90 per point). My use year is February starting in 2005. So, I have 150 points now and will receive another 150 February 2006. I do have to pay 2005 Annual Dues, no incentives.

I had called in in time to receive the $95 rate. But, you either chose the $8 incentive or "free vacation" (100 points) and then paid 2005 dues. Since we are using our HELOC we would have chosed the "free vacation," but it seemed like what we went with above was a better deal.

I am very excited. I will be there in September for my first DVC trip!

For all the new buyers, anyone from California? Our rep told us that the 2004 incentive is not available for Californian because of the law of deed. Thanks.

I don't recall anything about Disney paying 05 maintenance, but I haven't received my package yet. I might call our guide and ask but it seems as if that is not currently being offered.

We had toured BWV about 4 years ago and didn't buy for a number of reasons. We decided this time to see the new property and when our guide ran the numbers, I figured it was time to buy in. We have young kids and I just don't do WDW without a car so the location is not a problem for me (we just stayed 4 nights at POR and had no trouble with it). We can stay in a studio, since we just did a single room, but I wanted enough points to do a 1 bdrm. With the deposit of the '05 points, which we won't use until late '06, we will have enough to cover a 7 night stay at either SSR, OKW or BWV for the next few years. By then, I hope to have the finances to purchase add on points to guarantee enough for a 7 night stay at all the resorts.

It will be a while yet, but I can't wait for our first "Welcome Home".

We have the previous offer, where you get the $8 point incentive off the $95 price and Disney pays your '05 maintenance. Difference being that we don't start receiving our points until our use year begins in September '05, where you have your points starting 7 months earlier.
