What are the current incentives for DVC contracts right now? Thinking of adding on?!

I got the post card from our guide a few weeks ago but chunked it. Friends just added on 110 points and got 100 in Developer. What is the min. we can add on at any time? I know we would not get developer though for less than 110 right? I am curious about CRV and how much that would cost per point. Maybe we should hang on a bit longer. I wonder if there will be any incentives? Thanks

Minimum add on for developer points is 110. For an additional purchase of 110 pts you get 100 developer, purchase of 160 pts gets 160 dev pts and additional purchase of 200 pts gets you 270 dev pts. There currently are additional incentives of $8 off for AKV and $10 off for SSR.

Perhaps not in their present form, though. I've heard rumors that DVC is running out of Developer's Points. The supply is not infinite.

Also, it's worth noting that DVC wasn't noticably impacted by the recession back in 2002. BCV sold out in then-record time from '02 - '03.

We just added on yesterday (we are the friends in the OP's post.)

Anyway, the Developers Points are a one time thing. The deal with them as told to us yesterday by our guide is that they expire after 12 months, and they go by the 7 month window rule (you can't book a trip more than 7 months out with them), and they can't be banked.

I wonder what the next promotion will be? We got a great one last year when we purchased in Jan. 07. We got 300 in developer points and you could bank them.

We purchased 200 points and got the 400 free developer points. They were good for one year from signing, and you could not bank them. We have vacations planned with those points, and we banked our points that we got on our June 2007 UY.

Yes those double ones were good too. I wonder if they would come out with promotion again. I would probably jump on that one and just add on at SSR but they might do that for just AKV.

oooohhh I would like to know this too. Are there usually incentives with Disney Visa for DVC purchases??
