What are the crowds like in January? October?

We're possibly thinking about changing from December to January or possibly even October for the MNSSHP. Just wondering if there are a lot of people in the resorts and at the parks these times of year, and which you think would be better? We can go anytime, as our DD is not in school yet. Looking for a quiet time of year if possible. Are there any other months (but not in the summer) that are also quiet? Thanks in advance for your help

Well, WDW is alway crowded. I'll need to know what time of the month your thinking to help more. Early December is good, late December nightmarishly bad! hehe Early January, not so good, late January good. Though during that time of the year, the weather is significantly cooler. Cooler, like not swimming cooler. So October would be better if you are a swimming family.

We've stayed in Sept, Early Oct, Dec, June, Late Jan and Early Feb. Because of WDW marketing, there are too many times when Disney isn't crowded. Now, it's a matter of when it is less crowded. We went in early Dec. 05 and it was during Pop Warner Football Championships. We really didn't notice it being more crowded or noisy. Of course, we weren't staying at the same resorts as they were.

I like late Jan/early Feb the best. Weekends are filled w/ Cheerleading competitiors, but overall it is very quiet. Usually after the MLK weekend and before Lincoln's birthday (it seems this holiday is making a comeback) is a good time to go. The ONLY downside-weather is unpredictable. It's been as cool as 40 during the day and as warm as 80...it's hard to pack and usually waterparks aren't in the equation....

Late January, and Febuary all through till Spring Break begins in March is a good time to go.
