Has anyone gotten back from Disney in the recent future or is there now? What are the crowds like, i'm just trying to gauge what they might be like for our trip next weekend. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

We just returned yesterday. We visited the parks Sunday (4/3) - Thursday (4/7). It was pretty crowded, especially Magic Kingdom. We had 30 minute waits in the fastpass retun line for Stitch and Test Track - the standby lines were 90 - 120 minutes.

Sun at MGM - not too busy, although we did get shut out of Beauty and the Beast - the theater filled before we arrived. Fantasmic was standing room only. Our kids are small so we didn't go to Tower of Terror or RNRC.

Mon and Wed at MK - manageable in the morning, but packed in the afternoon. Generally 10 minute waits in the morning and 30 minute waits in the afternoon - much longer waits for popular attractions. We waited 45 minutes for princess pictures inToontown. There was even a few minute line TTA. We attended Evening Magic Hours, but gave up after an hour and a half - all the rides in Fantasyland had 25 - 30 minute waits.

Tues at AK, not too crowded we saw everything we wanted to see before the 4:00pm parade.

Thursday at Epcot - except for test track the lines were pretty short. Both Land and Wonders of Life buildings are closed. Turtle Talk at the Living Seas building had about a 30 minute wait - this is a cute show, worth the wait. We only visited a few countries in WS - mostly to get character autographs - a picture with Belle and Beast in France was a highlight of DD (4) trip. We left about 4:00 pm. It started pouring down rain at about 5:30, and rained until about 7:30 - I'm sure that thinned the crowds even more.

On Friday, we went to Epcot in the evening and it was quite crowded. On Saturday a.m. I forced everyone to get up early in the rain and go to M.K. We are from Denver, so we were essentially up before 4 a.m. our time to make it to M.K. before 8 a.m. It was drizzly right until we got off the tram and it stopped! We went right in and rode Dumbo, Pooh, Small World, Peter Pan, Philarmagic, Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise and Tiki Room, with a stop for ice cream and coffee, before 11 a.m. No one was there till 11:30. When we were leaving we couldn't believe the crowds pouring in at Main Street. We came back to M.K. that night and again on Monday and it was crowded both times. So the moral of the story is, if the weather is bad, GO ANYWAY! We also rode Aladdin before the parade and rode Splash Mountain that night after the fireworks (we watched from the bridge there in frontierland) and there was no line whatsoever. We went to AK on Sunday and while it seemed crowded outside of the rides, there were no huge lines for anything and the longest we waited was about 20 minutes for the Safari. Everyone loved Flame Tree BBQ, by the way!

We had a great time! One small prob with the monorail breaking while we were on it and we had to get off at the hotel and walk back to take the ferry. I couldn't get anyone to go back to the park that night!

Our trip was 4/5-4/12.

Crowds were very manageable the entire time. Our basic strategy was to hit a few EMH's (both eve and a.m.) and utilize FP. We did a lot and ended up leaving MGM (Sun nite) and Epcot (Thurs nite) early because we'd done everything we wanted to.

I believe last week was spring break for the Carolinas area and parts of New York... maybe other areas too. This coming week is Spring Break for most of New England (MA,CT, NH, etc). When we booked our trip, the flights out were sold out for this upcoming time period. I've heard reports that hotel rooms are hard to come by in WDW next week too. Also, the hours get extended again next week (and beyond?) -- so be prepared to be a part of an influx of crowds. I'm not sure you can base your upcoming trip's crowd expectations on what was experience this past week. It was kind of a lull week between two busier times (Easter and NE Spring Break followed by 50th Celebration).

For example, the day we got back, I talked to four different people who are all taking their families to WDW next week.

Have fun!

Thanks, i'm hoping it won't be too bad, I've been having crowd anxiety lately. I guess i'll see when I get there.

How old are your kids and how did they like the Stitch ride? My son is 4 and really likes Stitch and wants to try this ride. He had no problem with muppets or It's tough to be a bug or splash mountain last year. He is thinking about trying Dinosaur this year too.

We just got back and we had a great time. We went to Epcot and MK on 4/9 and 4/10, and DTD on 4/11. The crowds were very manageable! We did not have EMH because we stayed offsite but we did pretty much everything we wanted. We only used fast pass 4 times. Test Track, Splash and Space mts, and Buzz lightyear. We only waited 10 min for Mission Space!

Have fun!

Sounds wonderful!! Definitely think this sounds like a super week to go!!

I just got back.
Lines were fine. Only long line was for Test Track - 55mins. Everything else was )15mins or less. (Didn't check out mission space  or any Fantasyland rides.

How have the evening EMHs been? More specifically, MK? TIA!

Just talked to my sisters today. They were shopping at MGM as we spoke! Anyway they said the crowds are not bad at all. Remember though my family has always had to go during school holidays and summer vacation. Oldest sister retired last year and it enjoying every minute of it without me. :confused3 Wish I could retire early :earboy2:
