are they the nice big ones with a lot of meat served warm with butter? Or are they the puny little ones with little meat served cold? anyone get pics of it?

Are you talking about the clam bake? I could be mistaken but I dont think they have crab legs at the clam bake.

They were good sized ones served warm with butter. They were really good. I think my dh ate about 3 lbs. My girls loved cracking them open for him so he was in heaven.

They are snow crab legs right? I assume they don't have king crab legs on that buffet, but I could be wrong. The snow crab legs are skinnier and harder to get the meat out...the king crab legs are just heavenly! We're planning to go to Cape May Cafe for dinner on our July trip, and it would be great if they have really good crab legs!

When we were there mid September there were stone crab. My parents went a few days later and they were not on the buffet.L&Gs Dad.

We ate there on October 5, and they were serving snow crab legs. They were steaming hot and served with warm butter. The meat was cooked perfectly, and there was a lot of it! Yummy!

I ate there on the fifth with DW Hsvteacher. I have had crab legs at other buffet's but the ones at Cape May are freshly cooked and out out right away. They break apart easily and the meat comes out with ease and usually in one piece. The legs at say, Chinese restaurants are cooked in back and held in water till all the old ones are taken. They get over cooked and mushy that way. The Cape May cooks do it right and they are always straight out of steamer. Mmm mmm good.. I am now hungry for crab legs. :confused3;)

They had them on Oct. 8th (Thurs) also. Don't know what kind, I don't like seafood.

Wow, I am so hungry for these crab legs now! I'm glad they are nice and meaty for snow crab legs, those can really be a pain and not worth all the effort to get the meat out, but all reviews I've read of them say they are hot and delicious and easy to get out of the shell! Mmmmm! I'm hoping to get my DD19 into these crab legs, I think she'll love them if they are done right and a buffet (that does them right!), is a perfect way to try them without spending a ton of money, or eating all of mine, lol! I feel like I want to even add another ADR here though we don't have room, and, this will be our first time there! Power of good reviews. :)

But, I will say, I'm really going to need a really big bib here with all the dripping butter for the crab legs! :lmao: I always seem to drip butter on me, and we actually each carry a 'tide to go' stick with us just in case cause I always get something on me. :rotfl:Can't take me anywhere, lol.

So, are crab legs an addition to the dinner buffet? They are not on the menu posted on allears. I really want to go there, but DH is not excited about it...unless there are crab legs;)

Yes, the crab legs are one of the items offered at the seafood buffet. They only recently became available again as a permanent item on the buffet menu and I don't think Allears menu is current up to present date. But, a number of posters have confirmed that CM's at Cape May said it definitely is a permanent item on the dinner menu! Yum, I can't wait! :goodvibes

I find it hard to believe that they were serving stone crab (which are served as claws, not legs). Do you possibly mean snow crab?

We just dined at Cape May last Wednesday and the crab legs are on the buffet every night now! They were great! It was a little bit more work since our children are 9 and 6, so we had to help them with the crabs. They were the favorite part of our meal there! YUMMY!!:)

Great! We have an ADR for 12/17/09. Was hoping that crab legs were back on the buffet - I am soooo hungry for crab legs!!!!!!!!!
