::MinnieMo What are the chances of getting a table at Rose and Crown Pub to view Illuminations? The ressie people said they can't guarantee me a seat outside! I really wanted to do this, since it is the only night my DH and I will be alone on this trip! Also is the food any good there? Any advice is appreciated!!!

I'm new to this forum and feel a little sheepish about offering advice but here goes:

We were in Epcot at Christmas time last year and wanted to eat at the Roase and Crown at Illuminations Time and could not get a PS. However, there is a small patio area right next to the R&C and is not part of the restaurant. It was a perfect view and the end to a "magical" day!

Last October even though DF and I couldn't get an outside table for Illuminations, after we were done with our meal, the waiter brought us to the R&C viewing pavillion. It was pretty crowded but we had a great view of the show. I am betting they still do this. Have fun in the World! :)

The chances aren't great, as just about everyone has the same request. It is lots of fun if you can get a patio table. We have been there with the same request 3 times, and they were only able to seat us on the patio once.
We are trying again in October, as we are bringing our adult son to celebrate his birthday. I am hoping, but not planning for an outdoor table.
In my opinion, the food here is not the best available in World Showcase. It is not bad, just not the best. I think the menu is somewhat limited, and they seem to change it (not for the better) frequently.
I think you will enjoy yourselves, however. It is a fun place to eat, and as other posters have said, they do direct those dining inside to a spot to view Illuminations.
Have a Great Evening.

do not worry if you cannot dine outside, we had dinner in augustand as mentioned you can walk outside and view illuminations. it is by far the best view you will ever have. i had for dinner a chicken pasty? the resy of my family had fishnchips the food is okay, but what a great view of illuminations. have fun.

The only advice I can give you is to be as nice as you can to the host/hostess when you are checking in. You can something like, "We know it's not guaranteed, but we would love to sit outside, if it's possible. We are willing to wait", smile and then cross your fingers that some pixie dust comes your way! :wizard: Good luck!!

Oh and for the fellow "Dumb and Dumber" fans out there, the first thing I thought of when I saw this post was Jim Carrey saying: "What are the chances for a girl like me and a guy like you..." :teeth:
