of going from running 1.5 miles to running the 1/2 marathon next March???
After losing quite a bit of weight a few years ago (about 50 lbs) I am now focusing more on toning up and getting into better shape through exercise. I had been walking (usually on my treadmill, since I'm a single mom of 2 young 'uns and don't have much time to get outside to exercise on my own) and recently starting running a bit. I currently do a total of 2 - 3 mile sin a typical workout, but can only run between 1 and 1 1/2 miles, then walk.
I saw the announcement of the princess 1/2 marathon next March, and am contemplating a solo trip to run in it. Am I crazy to think I can get in good enough shape in that time???

marathon in January. I was able to do the 15k in decent time that I was happy with and didn't feel bad afterwards.
It wasn't the prettiest of runs, but it was my first long race and an absolutely amazing feeling to finish. I went on to do the Goofy, but that first 15k will always be special to me.
