What are the chances...VGC

We were a bit late on booking for our DL trip. Our teachers were in strike and we wanted to wait and see whether spring break would change (which it didn't) so we are currently wait listed in March (around the middle of the month a Wed-Sun) for a studio at VGC. What are the chances of getting in? Should I look at other options?

Honestly, hardly anything ever comes available at VGC once filled. The villas portion is so small due to the size of land that Disney has to work with in California. Your best bet is to book a regular hotel room in the Disney Collection. I know most people prefer to use the villas but it's better than no room at all.

I would book a regular room with cash, not points as a backup. If you book with points, you cannot use those points if the waitlist comes through. You also cannot book Disney Collection if you bought resale after 3/2011.

I was successful in getting 3 of my 5 days for this coming February. However, my last two nights (valentines weekend) weren't coming through. I went ahead and cancelled wait list and booked the disneyland hotel. I used points. It was more than the villas but I didn't have other plans for the points and it saves my cash. Plus I'm kind of excited about seeing vgc and dl hotel. Good luck

There are some days in mid march available now!!. I would book the days you can and wait list the ones you can't. Keep checking the website at least daily as single days often open up.
