I love DLP - but Splash Mountain is my fave ride at WDW and they don't have it at DLP.

What do you think the chances of Disney building a log flume ride at DLP?

Is is virtually nil - because they would have to shut it down in the winter and it would be too expensive to do this?

Thanks,

xjx

I would be surprised if they invest in a water ride due to the climate. Even though it is like the UK, theme parks close for the Winter whereas DLRP stays open.

To shut a ride ever Winter for the duration would not make financial sense.

yes - i thought so too. boo. :sad1:

What a pity as its one of my fav rides in Anaheim, couldn't they give out ponchos or something to stop you getting so wet!!!:)

yeah - waterpfoof (fake) fur coats for the winter time!

I don't think it will happen and part of me (I adore the ride so much) doesn't want it to. I love going on Splash in WDW and Disneyland because of the climate and the setting. I'd rather see a new attraction built in the huge area of Frontierland which could be made available.

well, if we're just "dreaming" here . . . .

If they made some modifications, couldn't they completely enclose the ride so that it was available year round?

A lot of the scenes are indoors anyway, perhaps there would be a thematic way to make the outside appealing (without watching everyone make the big plunge) perhaps is doable?

Money aside of course.

The theming inside Splash Mountain is fantastic - they could always build the mountain without the Splash ;)

My sentiments exactly ~ I love the ride but hate hate hate getting wet.

Although I do agree with Nick, much as I love Splash Mountain I would prefer to have a new unique ride that is exclusive to DLRP.

They should have a ride themed like the Hunchback of Notre Dame (being so close to paris and all) ..

I always though that would be great : riding through Notre Dame's bell towers then down into the gypsy hideout. Would be brilliant!
