We will be celebrating our 17th anniversary. Is there a chance for a complimentary upgrade? Should I let them know about our anniversary when I fax our room request.? Any one ever gotten a comp. upgrade for a special occasion?

At PBH the chances are pretty good but the fax has never worked there for me. I would call the hotel directly and ask to add some room requests and just mention the Anniversary. Mention it at any restaurants too!
At RPR your upgrade chances are less likely but the faxed room request has a good chance. Mention the Anniversary on the fax.
Which one did you end up reserving?

We went with RPR. I'll be sure and put it on my fax. The room request is already on my reservation.

Sunnydaze68,

Motherfletcher is right when he says that your best chance of an upgrade at RPR is to water view. For some reason its like pulling teeth to get an upgrade there. Your chances are much better during the week and if you are a loews first memeber. Definitely have them put the info in the comments section of your reservation and mention it again at check-in. I personally like the standard view rooms in tower 1 with views of the themeparks better than most water view rooms. Many of the waterview rooms have obstructed views unless they are on upper floors. Definitely take the king suite upgrade if they offer it and ask for a view of the pool.
