What are the best Tevas?

I am hoping to get some comfortable sandals/flip flops before we go on our trip. I keep hearing about Tevas, so I was looking into those, but there are SO many styles, I have no idea which ones to get. So which style is the best? I'm also open to other brands if anyone has a suggestion for another brand style.

Thanks! :)

I prefer Terra Fi! They're extremely rugged, but also pretty lightweight. You get the feel of a sneaker/walking shoe, but the benefits of a sandal. They have pretty good arch support.

I wear the Mush-right now I have on the criss-cross ones, because my puppy ate my regular Tevas.

They are the most comfortable things ever. I walked 2 miles in them yesterday and was fine, DD's feet hurt in her Nike walking sneakers.

I went with Chacos instead because of the arch support. They were great everyday of my trip and we walked about 12 miles a day!

I love Mush too, but they don't have the best arch support for a lot of walking. I usually get a couple pairs at the beginning of summer.

Another good flipflop, believe it or not, is one of the Crocs. I hate Crocs normally, but I found a pair in a local shoe store and didn't realize that's what brand it was until I looked at the box. They're so comfortable and actually have a bit of an arch in them.

This is it, but it looks like they don't have many sizes left. http://www.crocs.com/crocs-capri/10041,default,pd.html?cid=060&cgid=women-footwear-flip-flops

I actually have these, but when I wear them at Disney the bottom of my foot feels raw at the end of the day, like it is burned or something! These are my every day shoes at home, though. :) I don't do near that much walking on a daily basis though, but days we are out a long time, my feet do hurt even with these.

Maybe they're comfortable for me because I am flat footed?? Which would explain why the crocs you mentioned made my shins hurt so bad in Disney I could barely walk! I was really excited about them too, what with all the threads about them here.

Lucky for me, my puppy ate them too.

Maybe it's the little nubs on them. The first time I wore mine, it was after I'd been on my feet all day and those nubs felt so good, like a mini foot massage. But I wondered how they'd feel after a whole day of walking. I haven't tried it with them, so I'll have to take your word for it!

Hmmm I wonder if this is my problem, too. Flat feet run in my family, and I have ALWAYS had shoe/feet problems, been to a million podiatrists and nothing really helps. When I look at my foot though it doesn't look "flat" like my dad's does, so I don't know. But my favorite shoes ever were my Old Navy flip flops, which pretty much have no support AT ALL. But those are slippery and I also get that feeling that the bottom of my feet are burned when I wear these all day at Disney. It's really weird, I have no idea why that happens.

My daughter and I love our Teva Mush flipflops. We both wear them and can walk all day and well into the night without any foot pain.
Love, love, love them.

I guess that is possible. But I just remembered when posting a minute ago that my plain flat Old Navy flip flops gave me that burned feeling as well. Those are the only 2 shoes to ever do it and it only happens at Disney. But the ON ones did not have the nubs at all.

Teva Mush are awesome! I have 8 pairs (:rolleyes1 ) and they are all I wear during the summer. I wear them all day at Disney, too, with no problems.

I am totally in love with my Teva Ventura Cork. Nice looking, comfy, I can walk miles without blisters. I have the regular (flat) ones when I need the versatilty (trips) or to walk a lot, and the Wedge for work, city outings, ...

Tevas didn't work out for us - they fell apart in one week. I vote for Keens. Mine have a covering that protects the toe. I can't post a link because I have too few posts on this forum. Zappos has them - Keen Lagunas. I went to Cabelas and tried a bunch of different pairs on and got a feel for them before I settled on Keens (all the girls at Cabelas swore by them). FYI - I have moderately high arches.

I wore the Leather Simply Rugged's for years and then they changed the foot bed (it was cork and they changed it to microfiber or something). I haven't worn them since. I have some of the canvas Simply Rugged's but the rubber foot bed gives me blisters if I walk in them too much.

Wow it's not just me then. Maybe I shouldn't get these :(

Think you should also take a look at Merrell too. I have some sandals that are sooooo comfy I save them specially for Disney when I know my feet will get 14 solid days of pounding. Don't know what they're called but they wrap around the big toe, and have a plaited cord across the top of the foot. Mine are in pampas (a pale khaki colour) but I have seen them in cerise, lime and black also.

Just found them, they're called Siena
