What are the best snacks?

I think I would buy chips and things like store brand boxes of donuts at the grocery store at home where it is cheaper and take them with me to have in the room if they are needed and save my snack credits for the yummy stuff you can only get at Disney. The pasteries and dole whips etc. just sound too good to pass up, but that's just my thinking.

MK: Dole whip floats from Aloha Isle, ice cream sandwich from Sleepy Hollow, Figaro fries from Pinocchio's Village Haus

MGM: hot jalapeno cheese filled pretzel, raspberry macadamia nut white chocolate cookie from the candy store on Sunset Blvd

AK: fresh pineapple from the fruit stand or onion rings from Flame Tree BBQ

Epcot: school bread from Norway, German chocolate cookie from Germany, cashew cluster covered with caramel and chocolate from Germany, kaki gori in Japan

DTD: Doh bar (fried Snickers) from Cookes of Dublin or anything from Goofy's Candy Store

Resorts: boxes of donuts, hot caramel sundaes, beignets at POFQ

Don't forget World Showcase in Epcot, some example of what we got were:
Cheesecake in Norway
Candy Bar in England (note these are candy bars that are not generally available in the U.S.)
Candy bar in Germany
A German chocolate bar (I think that's what it was called in Germany)

Also don't forget Goofy's Candy Co. in Downtown Disney will custom dipped treats that are on the dining plan (all except the apples).

Just want to see the updates. As many times as we have been, still learn something new EVERYDAY here on the DIS!:goodvibes

MK-dole whip, mickey rice crispy treats, stuffed pretzel..lots of options in the confectionary store (choc covered strawberries, fudge etc).

I'm hungry just thinking about it......

We had a hot day at MGM last March, and while waiting for the Power Rangers to appear, we shared a banana and a blue raspberry cooler (slush) from Herbie's drive in (?) snack cart.

They were really good and just what we needed right then! They would have been $3.29 each had we "paid" for them.

MGM - Waffle cone at Gerties, Slushies (they have them in a lot of places), Smoothies from KNNR. We thought the big pretzels were too dry.

MK-Made to order Ice cream sandwiches from MK Bakery, Raspberry Lemonade Slush in Fantasyland, Fruit Smoothies from Auntie Gravaties, Rootbeer floats (from a few places-anywhere they have soft serve). Cheesecake from the Bakery... it depends on what you feel like... also baked sweet potatoes from Liberty Square (maybe only in the winter?) are good.

AK- Haven't found anything great. Tamu Tamu has the floats and smoothies but we are never near it when we are looking for a snack.

Epcot- gosh. Great snacks every where you look. Lots more at Sunshine Seasons then listed on the confirmed snack list. The bakery in France and the one in Norway are both good. Germany. Oh heck. I could live off Epcot snacks for a week.

Another Dole Whip float fan here!!!! Also LOVE the beignets from POFQ!!!! You can get a large order for 1 snack credit. I just have to remember to try this School Bread from Norway on our upcoming trip...can't believe I forgot last year!! :sad2: So many people rave about it!!! :yay:

Ice Cream sandwiches from Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom. Under the dining plan. It is made with two big, fresh, hot choc. chip cookies and a large scoop of vanilla ice cream. The cookies start to melt the ice cream because they are still warm. SOOOOOOO good. We could not believe it was only one snack credit! It is a steal!!!!!!!

What great suggestions! I still need great snack ideas for Animal Kingdom and MGM.
Anyone have pictures of any of their favorite snacks?
I am very visual.

13 days until Disney:jumping1:!

hey guys,

Man I can't wait to get there to try some of these snacks. This is our first time with DDP and want to try all kinds of new and more expensive things we wouldn't on our usual budget. The good thing is that my kids will try most things at least once. So we will get something and share or split and try other new things too. SO excited!:cheer2: :yay: :dance3: :thumbsup2

:cutie: Yum! Definitely have to keep my eye on THIS thread!!! So many good ideas!

I'd highly recommend the dole whip! It's awesome.

Can't wait to finally try the school bread. And the raspberry macadamia nut white chocolate cookie is one I had never heard of, but I definitely think I NEED to try it!

Keep the suggestions coming! popcorn::

As of 10/06, if you get a rootbeer float from Tamu Tamu in AK, they give you a souveiner (sp?) Pluto straw/spoon thing. Its cute.
