What are the best restaurants that accomodate to someone who has special needs?

I am coming with two different people this time and they have asked me your opinion. One has diabetes which is controlled by her diet and one cant eat fried foods. So what I was wondering is did you have an experience where someone who was going with you needed a special menu and what happened??

When you are making your ps if you tell the cm that you have people with special dietary requirements they will usually accommodate you.
