I am booked next week for a place that has Bad Reviews and I am getting really worried...so want to be prepared if I am horrified and need to find another "suite" quickly! (has to allow family of 6 and needs the Fridge, microwave and burners to cook on and a nice place for the kids to swim). Would like to keep the price under $80 a night. I know there is Zillions of places to stay in Kissimee and nearby, like it to be 15 minutes or less to Parks. Thanks!

Check out the big Calypso Cay thread. They have several types of accomodations there. One is a 2 bedroom BRAND NEW and fully furnished apartment called Runaway Bay. You can do a search on calypso or runaway and read about them. :)

You can have all that in LBV at the Residence Inn. Very nice hotel, book thru quikbook.com for $105. nite plus tax. More than your budget, but a good value for the money.

go to valuetrips.com and check out Country Inn and suites at Calypso Cay.

Do a search of this board for "Tropical Palms" -- it has rave reviews! We will be staying there for the first time this May and have a cottage with 2 bedrooms, a sleeping loft, living room w/ sofa bed and full kitchen (dishes/pots&pans/utensils included, lol!) for $79/nite! Sleeps 8 total. Check out their website too: www.tropicalpalms.com Good Luck!

I was in the same boat you are in! The first two hotels that I booked did not have very good ratings. There are five
people in our group and we wanted a suite for the room and a kitchen for convience. On another board, I had several
people tell me about the Hawthorn Suties Lake Buena Vista at 8303 Palm Parkway. It is located two miles from WDW
and they have a free shuttle to Disney. They also offer the following which is very nice:

Complimentary full hot breakfast buffet including eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, cereals, etc....

Complimentary social hour Monday - Thursday 5-7 with beverages and hors d'oeuvres

Complimentary light meal on Wednesday evening (when I talked to the hotel they said that they grill hamburgers and
hot dogs).

I booked a room off of Weeklytop10-Orlando.com and got it for $76.00/night. I ended up getting a Queen Suite
(which consist of a living room with a sofa sleeper and a seperate bedroom with two queen beds, a full kitchen with
microwave, toaster, stove top, refrigerator, dishwasher, and utensils).

Web site for the hotel http://www.hawthornsuiteslbv.com

Just curious - what hotel do you have reservations at now? I hope this helps!!!

I have also been told the Hawthorne Suites are very nice for the price. We have friends who stayed at the Hawthorn Suites LBV and loved it. We will be staying at the one at Orlando Airport for one night before leaving to go home in August. If you are worried, there are many good choices around WDW that are resonable. Good Luck!

Violet 13: Check out Amerisuites at Calypso Cay. They can accommodate up to 6, and I have seen good reviews on this site.

I booked for November directly through the hotel. Got a Entertainment Book rate of $49.50. This also includes breakfast.

violet,

we booked a 500 square ft room with full kitchen, stove, utensils, refrigerator, at Lake Cecile Resort for 68.90 a night thru Hotelkingdom.com. We leave in 2 days and will leave a report when I get back.

It has one queen size bed and a queen size pull out bed also. They also offer some bigger suites as well.

They are located 5 minutes from parks.

Check out hotelkingdom.com they have lots of choices.

have a great time!!

I looked up Tropical Palms Fun Suites, and read some reviews and decided this was PERFECT!!! I espcially love the outdoors and the View of a camping ground, and it sounds like the Suites are like a furnished hotel, They told me they have carpet on the floors, I won't have to lug my pots and Pans now, and I can bring My kids game systems to hook up the the Tv (at other hotel, they didnt allow and would charge $7 an hour to use a game system!). So thank you for Posting...JUST in Time too- we got the VERY LAST 2 bedroom Suite for the dates we are going to be there..and a $79 a night. Now I feel confident we will have a Good relaxing time. I'll be posting when I get back...I guess the place is on 50 acres, they have 144 Suites , and 500 Rv hookups. I was thinking...Oh my God- it's going to be BUSY there!!! I am worried the Pool will be overly crowded, and that's the big highlight for the kids. I will post my Review when we get back. Thanks again....

I heard about this place thru this board too, especially great posts by C.Ann (I think that's her name). Hope you enjoy your stay there--I'll be anxiously awaiting your review when you return! Can't wait to stay there!
