Going in January with my mother, brother, sis-in-law and 2 nephews, 5 and 7. We have one character meal, Chef Mickey's for dinner for the 5 year old's 6th birthday. I don't think we really want to do anymore character meals. After talking to DSIL she seems to want to gear the TS toward the kids as much as possible. So far I have these dinners booked:

Chef Mickey's
Le Cellier
Chefs du France
Yak and Yeti
Boma
Tony's
Ohana's

I figure Chefs and Le Cellier will be the least kid friendly and will change Chefs if need be but Le Cellier I have heard so many good things about I think it is a keeper. Any other suggestions for TS? We are on the DDP.

Thanks.

I would say Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL is a wonderful kid TS.
The wait staff do antics, like if you ask for ketchup they yell thru the whole place "WE NEED KETCHUP" and all the kids at other tables bring you their bottles of ketchup. While we were there we seen plenty of kids having a good time. The food is good to.

Biergarten!!!
The kids get up and do the chicken dance on the dance floor. They almost all love the oompa band. And it has the added benefit of being very adult friendly. Many on here report their kids eat better here than other dining spots too.

My kids love 50's Prime Time Cafe. It is not a buffet - you order off the menu. They particularly liked the PB&J milkshakes!

Lots of people also like the Sci-Fi drive in. We had fun there, but we didn't like the food. The burgers are supposed to be great, though, so we'll try those if we eat there again.

I also think Biergarten is good. They have a German band play and they get the kids up on the dance floor !! I also think that the Hoop De Do Review dinner show is fun for the whole family.

I was wondering the same thing. We're going in May and I'm able to make ressies in 13 days. The first night there we're not going to a park, but want to have a kid friendly place. Then again most places at WDW are friend friendly. The 3 places I'm thinking about are Wispering Canyon cafe, Garden Gove at Swan (thing is a character wih Goofy and Pluto) or O'hanna at Poly. From what I read O'hanna has coconut races and limbo contests for the kids. We've never been there, but I've heard it's amazing and it's family style eating.

Our sons loved Teppan Edo in Japan at the World Showcase in Epcot. They are ages 4 1/2 and 21 months. The food was delicious. The chef was great, and our kids ate their meals happily. Service there is awesome too!

Coral Reef - floor to ceiling aquarium...they give you a "menu" of different sealife. When you see each one you mark it off. Our boys enjoyed the search.

Whispering Canyon Cafe...We did this for lunch and dinner. Dinner was great lots of goofing around, ketchup antics and the like. Lunch was a let down as we knew how much fun dinner was...lunch didn't compare no goofing around at all and the ketchup was on the tables.

Le Cellier...definately not kid friendly. We had to wait well over and hour to get a table, service wasn't great (really slow), food wasn't great (really salty). We regretted wasting so much time on this one.

Here's another vote for Coral Reef. My niece (4) loved it. We were seated right next to the aquarium and I could hardly get her to eat. She loved seeing the turtles, fish and the divers.

Some of my kids' favorite non-character meals:
'Ohana, Coral Reef, Biergarten, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Teppan Edo

All have some sort of entertainment/ action going on which make them different for a kid than just a "regular" restaurant.
