To get through?

I keep telling myself:

Summer will be here no matter what you do, so you might as well keep going and make it a summer to remember! :)

(did I ever tell you that I've always hated Summer?? :( )

I keep saying if I made it this far then I can make it the rest...problem is this last part is really and truely killing me :( I seem to take away more and more and exercise more and more, and loose more and more SLOWLY!!!!!

I want to wear this black bathing suit I bought last year at the end of the season...Nothing spectacular, but it does not have shorts, or a skirt, first one in 20 years....I have to wear it!!!

I keep telling myself that I'm great but could be healthier. I also tell myself that this is a life process, and not to work to unsustainable levels. It took me 13 years to get to this weight. If I lose at a rate of a puond per week, I'll reach my target weight in 20 weeks! Not bad.

Keep the Faith!
Tracy

I am sure you have heard this before, but it is motivating to me, so I keep saying it to myself "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels."

Linda

Baby steps.........small goals. If I look at the big picture, I will give up.
I want to go shopping for clothes with my daughter....and have her pick some stylish clothes out for me :)

If you stop trying now, everyone on WISH will know :(

I also often say to myself, this is such a painless eating plan, I can't imagine going back to all that bread and sugar and stuff.

I have a few that I like:

You only have one life. What body do you want to live it in?

My will shall shape my future.

Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right.

The secret of success is constancy to purpose.

Never, never, never, NEVER give up!

I have committed to Journal every morsel of food that goes in to my mouth on my Journal Thread on the WISH. Last night when I almost caved at MIL's and had a handful of jellybeans I just could not do it. I kept telling myself --- Self - If you do this, everyone on WISH will know you cheated.;)

I look at forbidden foods this way - I know where I want to be and I know what I have to do to get there and some foods are just not an option on this Journey I am taking.
:D

I keep remembering how upset I felt when I had to recycle the SAME PAIR of jeans all week (lots of clothes washing, took up too much time!) ;) Just thinking about how TIGHT everything was back in March keeps me going!!! Now it's all at a comfy/almost loose state and I am anxious to feel things slip off my waist. Thinking about what I'll look like with collarbones that pop out, a defined jawline, muscular upper arms, etc. is very motivating!!!

JODY - I'm LOL at the Jellybeans, not even 5 minutes ago I took a big whiff of a bowl of Jellybeans that DH opened up over the weekend and ate all the colors he liked, as I threw them in the trash. They smelled so good!

I keep telling myself I'm not 20 anymore, so I can only do my best to look as good as I can.
I was always thin, until I turned about 37.

Katholyn - LOL, Don't make me come over there, if you cheat!! You live too far away, I'd have to give you a WISH Bop!
I'm so impressed with all the weight you've lost in such a short time, you must feel great:D

Kelsie - We started Atkins on the same date, I think Rbuzzotta (Rosemary did too)!

I just keep telling myself how much better & healthier I will feel as the weight comes off. I'm sick & tired of always feeling sick & tired, & have finally admitted to myself that the reason I feel the way I do is because of all the extra weight I'm carrying around. I also keep saying to myself that if all these other WISHers can do it, I can do it too! :teeth:

I keep telling myself......................

You are doing this so that you can live a long life that includes watching your Grandchildren play. (My son is 12, so I am thinking a LONG life)!

:p

Lynn - smelling jellybeans?:D Had to laugh at that. My DH had a bag of red licorice tonight, and I did exactly the same thing. I took a whiff then closed the bag without eating one piece. Guess we've come a long way when we can resist even after smelling something good.:bounce:

I'm starting the summer at the weight where I ended it last year.........this is a good thing

All my WISH friends can do this, I can too!

I will focus on my future instead of the past, I'll be spending more time there!

I also remember a quote from a thread somewhere something like "I'm tired of going up and down then up and down, I want to go down and stay there!"

me too!

I plan my "treats" and think of them when I'm tempted. It helps if I know what's ahead!

Funny how the treats aren't as wonderful sounding as they once were? Sweets that are really processed don't tempt me much at all (little debbies, packaged cookies, etc) And those that do sound good I plan a day for them and look forward to it and that gets me through the other days!
