My sister and I think we may spend an evening there while the kids stay at the resort with grandma one evening. We are on the dining plan and won't have enough credits for a TS meal there and figure we'll grab something at a CS restaurant. What would you recommend?

The only places we have eaten at DTD are Planet Hollywood and Earl of Sandwich. PH was fun and we enjoyed the food. It is very loud but the memorabilia is wonderful. The Earl of Sandwich was very good and one of the best meals we had. It is not expensive at all, about 5.00 for each sandwich. We will definetly be going back to the Earl of Sandwich.

I would suggest Wofgang Puck Express or Earl of Sandwich. We always make stop at Earl of Sandwich when we go!

I have been told that I have to try the Earl of Sandwhich this time. Must be good!

The Earl of Sandwhic is AMAZING. And relativly inexpensive. We now make sure that we go at least twice. Sooo yummy.

If your on the DDP I'd recommend wolfgang puck express and save earl of sandwich for a future trip when you're not on the DDP and paying oop. I've only eaten at express and mc donalds so I guess I'm a bad one to ask...but we really LIKED wolfgangs and our bill for four would have been $55 had it not been for DDP.

Earl of Sandwich! It's awesome! I like to stop there on the way to the airport and use up any leftover counterservice or not, and get some food for the airplane/airport.

We would definitely say Wolfgang Pucks! We can not WAIT to go back to DTD to go eat there again!

Depends I suppose upon your perferences at meal time; and I think y'all would probably enjoy most of the eateries at Downtown Disney, with one noteable exception: AVOID the "Earl of Sandwich" at all costs. Has to be one of the worst dining experiences I've ever experienced at Disney, in fact, one of the worst anywhere, not just at Disney.

Thanks for the opinions. I had been wanting to try the Earl of Sandwich but in addition to the negative opinion someone posted on this thread (btw, wondering what on earth happened to make you feel that strongly about it lol), I've seen a few other people saying they didn't like it.

I will check out the menus for EOS and Wolfgang Puck Express. I guess we'll just go with what sounds good at the time.

we have eaten at WPE for lunch several times. have even made a special trip to DTD just to eat there. I think it's probably one of the better CS places in all of WDW. I am anxious to try the dinner menu (which, unlike most CS places in the World) is different from the lunch menu. On our upcoming trip, we may do lunch there one day and dinner another day.

our favorite dishes there: the butternut squash soup and the mac and cheese, which is HUGE. have also had the bbq chicken pizza and, i think, a chicken caesar salad. have had a couple of different desserts there and they were good.

Depends if you are going this year, or next year. As it stands right now all of downtown disney except for capn jacks which is a TS is on pending they are not sure who if any will be on the dining plan again. Wolfgang, and earl are not sure as well as all other places in downtown disney. Also almost all of world showcase is not sure if they will be on the plan again either. france, mexico, italy, japan, china, morraco (sp) as of now are not on the plan unless they change their minds this includes any of their counter service places in those countries and the bakeries. Just wanted to let you know incase your trip was in 07.

The only CS I've tried in DTD is EOS. We enjoyed it.

This time we're thinking about WP. I know their TS has some kind of restrictions, but are there any limitations on their CS menus?
