What are soccer moms? They got mentioned on the Hooligan-thread, and I just wonder what they are?

We do soccer year round so thats why I say I am a soccer mom...I actually think that term has changed in the past few years from something most people see negative to not so much anymore.

I only have my little guy who plays soccer and I'm more of a baseball mom, but my life revolves around my kids, their activities, etc. Now that they're in school, it's all concentrated to the afternoon/evening and weekend hours, but with three kids still at home and a DD in college, this is my life right now. And yes, "these are the good ole days".
I wouldn't have it any other way, even though it's exhausting. I'm usually juggling who has to be dropped off at what activity, who has to be picked up at another, which carpool I'm driving, when my DH (who works at home) needs to drive to something because I need to be in 2 places at once, and when we just can't get to something and how to work that out. My calendar is my friend. ckay87 said:I hate that term. It general refers to van-driving moms who drive their kids around to activities. But it has kind of a negative connotation.
