What are points

I keep seeing these people asking for points and saying they would like to buy points and pay through Paypal and giving dates and such. What are points???

Are you referring to the Vacation Club Board?

If so points are what are given to you if you purchase into the Disney Vacation Club. Sometimes people who own at a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) will rent out their points at around $10 per point. They will then make a reservation for the person renting the points at a Disney Resort (usually DVC resort) of their choice based on availability.

Most of the DVC properties at WDW are located at one of the Deluxe resorts, and they find this to be a cheaper route. They can also add the dining plan to the package (see the restaurant boards,) which then comes out to be an even bigger bargan.

Check the DVC boards and look at the point chart. That will give you an idea as to how many points are required to make a reservation at the various DVC properties including Hilton Head and Vero Beach.

It is people wanting to stay at DVC (Disney Vacation Club) Resorts. People who own DVC may rent out their points to other people to use at any of the DVC resorts as long as the dates are available. My husband and I rented points for our upcoming May trip. This will be our first time renting points so hopefully everything goes smoothly!

You don't have to own DVC, you can rent the points if you so desire on the DVC rent/trade boards.
