What are our chances of waitlist coming through?

We are celebrating my DH's birthday at WDW (a big one!) Oct.25-29. We are staying at SSR but my husband would love to stay at BCV(his favorite) or BWV. I know its F&W time and we will enjoy ourselves wherever we stay but I still have hope that our waitlist can come through. MNSSHP and Liberty Tree Tavern (on his birthday), seeing Kool & the Gang during this trip are fantastic enough but what do you think?

Based on my current waitlist...not great.
When did you get on the waitlist? What did you waitlist? (IMHO you have a better shot at a 1 BR then a studio)

In late May/June I went on the waitlist for a 1 bedroom or studio for 10/1-10/3 at BWV or BCV. Cleared BWV 1 bedroom mid June??

Called back and waitlisted for BCV the same dates (so I don't have to move, I am at BCV until 10/1) This week I called and extended at the 30 days, but there has been no movement so I expect I will be packing up and moving to BWV!

I have friends who waitlisted for the BCV as soon as the seven month window openned for 10/24-11/1 and nothing has come through for them. (Not sure if they are waiting for a studio or 1 br). As Carol mentioned, when did you go on the waitlist? Hopefully the first day possible. My friends have waitlisted for the BCV several times in the past during October and have never gotten their waitlisted room. (They are booked at their home/VWL) I bought points at BWV just to use the 11 mo window during October after learning how hard it is to get into these resorts in October and December.

We didn't book this couple's getaway trip til about June or so. We were waiting to find a BCV contract and didn't want to use up all of our AKV points so we booked as soon as we bought points at our favorite...BCV! I know it was last minute but I hope it happens , especially because this is a BIG birthday for him and he loves BCV. Thanks everyone.
