I requested the mansions at POR when I made my ressie. What are the chances that that request will be honored? The bayou section really doesn't thrill me at all, but the mansions do. I would be sooooo disapponted if I had to stay in the bayou. I have a waterview room with a AAA discount. Does that make a difference with the way they accomodate your requests?

Unfortunately, a request is just that. There is no guarantee that you will get what you want. It is based on availability and not how you booked your vacation. So, depending on the number of requests will determine whether or not you get what you really want.

Hopefully you won't have any problems getting what you want. Sending you Good Thoughts and a lot of Pixie Dust! If you don't I hope you won't let it spoil the "magic" or your vacation.

Good Luck!:wizard:

I agree with Soltwisch Family - WDW does it's best to accomodate requests based on availability. That being said, I think you have a very good chance of getting your request to be in the Mansions. Some requests are very specific, the requestor may not only be asking to be in the Mansions, but also to be in a particular Mansion (Oak Manor) on a particular floor, in a non-smoking, connecting room (get the point!). That type of request may be more difficult to accomodate than a request to be in one overall section of the resort.

POR is a great resort and I am sure you will have a wonderful time. Good luck with your request!

We have never had problem getting a request at PO Riverside. We have usually been granted not only the section, but also the particular building. We, too, like the mansion section a lot better.

I just joined AAA. May i ask what rate you got. We are going in June and would like to stay at POR if we can get it for the price of a budget. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

shellybell, I changed my ressie from CBR to POR, so I just kind of added it on, because the rate was a little higher that the CBR of $118/night because the only thing they have left is a waterview. I want to say it's about $132/night. I'm sorry I don't have an exact figure for you.

DawnF316, Thanks for the reply. At least now I have an idea. I may wait to see what AP rates will be before deciding.
