What are my chances ?

Hi, I booked a studio at BLT for first weekend of October . What are my chances of changing it to a PVB at seven months?

I would say really easy. I’ve never had a problem switching to Poly at the 7 month mark.

Given the timing I would say maybe, maybe not. Running up to Columbus Day is a very popular time and studios are often not available at 7 months if the trip nears that date.

Columbus Day is 10/9 next year. So chances are good, IMO - assuming you mean checking in 10/1 or 10/2 when you say the first weekend.

Agree with @_auroraborealis_ . At 7 months, Columbus Day weekend will be challenge at all of the near park resorts.

Well... BLT is a good choice too! It is my home resort after all.

Though Poly studios are often easy to get at 7-months out during DVC's moderate demand season, mid-Jan to late Sep,, they are often difficult to get during the high to extremely high demand season that runs from late Sep to marathon weekend in Jan., and that includes all of Oct not just Columbus Day weekend time.

So , having more points is sometimes a bless. I was able to have my nights at the polynesian for Columbus weekend. My daughter and I will have a beautiful sweet sixteen vacation .
