What are my chances...

I am in the process of buying DVC. We should be hearing back early next week. My closing date will be 7/28 or sooner (I'm hoping sooner). My husband and I are taking our baby with us who will be 7 months old when we go.. So what are the chances of me getting a room this fall if I wait to book until my DVC closes? I've heard mixed reviews.. Some say I'll have no problem, others say good luck. We are hoping to get boardwalk, beach club, BLT or grand floridian just for the ease of walking to a few of the parks or taking the monorail.... Any insight would be great.. Thank you!

You didn't mention what size room. I'm assuming a studio. If so, I can say with great certainty you will not get a studio for those dates at the resorts you are wanting.

Edited to add: Even SSR, OKW, and AKV will not have availability for your full length of stay. A one bedroom will be no better.

We were hoping a studio or one bedroom.. And if we can't get one of those that's OK. We were just hoping.. We would take anything really if need be.

Just for future reference be aware that the time period you were looking at is one of the highest DVC demand tiimes of the year.and makes Easter look like the slowest of off seasons. If you want any near park resort for that time in October, you best own at the resort and reserve 11 months out.

Thank you. I was afraid of that. We may have to change our days a bit. Not sure what to do.. My mom may come so may need a 2 bedroom. I just can't wait to close and get my number so I can look at my options.

The DVC Moderators have asked that availability for specific dates NOT be requested or provided due to the dynamics of the DVC reservation system. Current availability has no relationship to what might be available in 3 months, 2 weeks or 20 minutes from now.
