Exactly, I for one intend to go on a specific date, irregardless of whether I can or can't change resorts at the 7 month mark! A bird in the hand....

Because you will at least have a reservation for your vacation dates at your home resort. If the other resort is available at 7 months, then you can book that resort.

And if it's not available at seven months, you can put your name on a waitlist for OKW in case that timeframe opens in the months leading up to your visit.
