Hello all!

Long term lurker & fan of all things Disney...I'm taking my parents to Disneyworld Sept 4 - 11 to celebrate my Dad's retirement & his 65th birthday.

I've rented DVC points for the AKL - studio with savannah view at Jambo House. What are my chances of upgrading at check-in to the club level, 2 bedroom (if it's available). Are renters allowed to do upgrades??

Your chances are ZERO. You can not mix cash and points for the room and if they allowed you to upgrade, it would be taken from the owners DVC Points account. There are only 5 DVC units in the club level, all are 2 bedroom lock-off units, most likely reserved at the 11 month mark by AKV owners.

Zero. There are only 5 two bedroom lockoffs and members book them up quick.

Also, you can't upgrade with cash on a points reservation.

I agree with the others that an upgrade will not be available.

But maybe you really do not want to upgrade, anyway. Not all of the concierge villas have savanna views - 2 of the five 2-bedroom concierge lockoffs overlook the pool. Plus, the views from the villas that overlook the savanna are not very good according to many reports. The views from the non-concierge savanna view villas will be much better.
