What are my chances?

I put in a bid on a Feb. UY BLT DVC which went into the ROFR process May 4th. (whew that was a lot of abbreviations!).

If it goes through, I'd expect to be a card carrying DVC member by mid-late June. If I call MS in July, what are the odds that I'll be able to find something during a less busy time like the week before Thanksgiving week, or a January week?

I have 2009 banked points I'd love to use and not lose. I wouldn't expect to get BLT this late in the game, but I'd take anything (I think, LOL).

I ask b/c I've read more than once that DVC members have a very hard time making ressies at less than their 7 month windows.

I was able to get a long weekend the end of January at BWV and BCV and I didn't book it until the beginning of January. I think January would be totally do-able as long as you are fairly open minded about where you want to stay

I'm not picky. Right now, I'd like to try all the different resorts. It feels like such a great "adventure". Just one of the perks of being a DVC member!

When you have to switch resorts, does Disney transport your luggage and stuff to the other resort?

We booked the week before Thanksgiving last year at only 6 weeks out. We had to do a split stay - 4 nights BWV Boardwalk view 1 bedroom, and 3 nights SSR 1 bedroom. You will probably have more choices than we did, as you will be able to book months out, not weeks out.

Only 50% of BLT is available to DVC Members, so rooms are harder to get than expected.

Out of curiosity, what % of BCV is DVC? How do you find that information out? (I'm already thinking of adding on some BCV). TIA

I guess BCV would be 97%.

Only 50% of BLT has been declared into the DVC. As additional points are sold, more of BLT will be declared and the percentage will increase.
