What are my chances...?

Hi all,

What are my chances of getting a partial hookup site (i.e. 1500 or 2000 loop) starting Fri 11/23 to Sun 11/25 aka Thanksgiving weekend? Am I better off looking at a resort, preferable value, or an off-site hotel? I'm an AP and I have AAA.

The lowest priced room available that weekend, right now, is a Studio at Saratoga Springs for $309/night. There are no campsites, Value, or Moderates left.

Yeah, the campground is sold out. I keep calling myself 2 times a day looking for cancelations. You might have beter chances off property. Good luck

Keep calling! We were going to go the week after Thanksgiving, but the week of works better with the school schedules for the kids and us. We were finally able to piece together 3 reservations to complete the week of Thanksgiving. We are going to have to cancel probably 11/24-28. We just bought our first trailer, and want to put one more trip in, to see how long we think we'll need to get back! Then we'll decide.

I think it depends on how persistent you are. There WILL be cancellations. I called twice a day for 2-1/2 months to piece together Thanksgiving week. I got the weekends on either end before I got Wednesday and Thursday, believe it or not. Keep trying. I'd have a backup reservation somewhere, though. (Mine was at Tropical Palms).
