What are my chances on the waitlist?

I have four nights starting June 21 in a 1 bedroom standard view at Jambo. We have now decided we want a two bedroom for five nights, checking in on June 20. I have to go on the waitlist. I went on the waitlist for Beach Club and a 2 bedroom at Jambo, savannah view.

My questions is should I stay with the savannah view, or the standard view. Standard view has us closer to pool, bus stop, and restaurants and parking lot. I afraid I may be out there in a savannah room, but do I have a better chance for a savannah room since I believe there are more of those than standard. What has more rooms savannah or standard 2 bedrooms. I don't know if we really care about the view of the animals. We are a family of me, DH and DS, 25 and DD, 22

Also, what do I have a better chance at getting Beach Club, Boardwalk or VWL for a two bedroom. Thanks for any help.

Your best chances are the larger resorts and the room category that has the largest number of rooms.

Our wait lists have had limited success. We are at BWV now and have to move in a few days due to our wait list not coming through.

I agree with the PP, the category with the largest amount of rooms will have the greatest chance of success. I have had WONDERFUL success on the waitlist. I have gotten (both fulfilled in a couple of weeks) a 1br MK view room at BLT and a 2br (2 queen) at BCV. Now my success might be an anomaly, but I'm happy with the waitlist.

As I mentioned in a previous post it doesn't hurt to call DVC, and call often when your on a waitlist. We were placed on a wait list for our Christmas reservations. The CM actually advised that I call a couple of times a day. So I'd call once in the morning and once in the afternoon at a minimum. During each call the CM would check the database to see what's available. It's surprising how something open's up while your on the phone with the CM. Only once did I get a CM that seemed annoyed that I called. The rest encouraged it. The wait list did come through for us. We have a habit of making last minute plans, ie. less than the 7 month window, hence we have been on the wait list quite often. It has never failed us (knock on wood).

This really irritates me.

We pay MS to administer our points and wait lists and we are told that wait lists are automatic. Now members are told to call several times per day to try and get their wait list request. Some members can't call every day, plus this is tying up Advisers and maybe causing other members to wait on hold.

This is just another example of members having to make accommodations due to the short comings of the DVC.

If Disney really valued it's DVC Members, they would fix the system. :sad2:

Where was your room located at BC with the two queens? When I called and got on the waitlist, she asked if I wanted 2 queens and I said yes, but now I am wondering since I don't think there are as many rooms with 2 queens I may call back to switch that.
