What are my chances for a late booking?

Ok, after moping around for the last three weeks about how I won't be going back to Disney for OVER A YEAR (!!!), DH caved and said we could rearrange our plans for a New England vacation and go south instead. YAY! We get one more vacation out of our APs!

Problem is, we need to go on July 24th to the 29th. Airfare is purchased (I figured if worse comes to worst, we can stay at a moderate or offsite - blah!), so there's no backing out now. What do y'all think are my chances for a studio ANYwhere?

we tried to book august 12-18th. the ONLY thing available waas a studio in OKW. this was on thursday.

Well I got August 2 and 3 at a OKW studio yesterday. So you never know. OWK is probably your best bet. Could you take half of your stay at OKW and half at moderate?

Well, I got 3 of my days at VWL. I'm on the wait list for the other two, which, inconveniently, happen to be the first and last days. I'm hoping they'll come through. I also asked to be waitlisted for any of the WDW DVC's as long as all 5 days become available. Cross your fingers for me! In the meantime, I'm going to make a ressie at a moderate for the other two nights. I can always cancel last minute, right?

Just remember you have to cancel 5 days out. Good luck with your waitlist!:D We arrive on the 23rd.

Disney will waive the 5 day cancellation charge if your waitlist comes thru at last second. I had to do this in May & CRO had no problem cancelling my ressie when my DVC came open 2 days out. I was afraid I'd get charged the 1 night fee, but they said I would not be penalized for being a DVC member! Just my experinece. Good Luck!

Best of luck on your wait list. I hope it works out for you. Annmarie

Thanks guys! I appreciate the good wishes. Really, its all I can do to not call MS every hour to see if anything has cleared. Can you tell I'm anxious? Would they be annoyed if I call once a day just to check?

Regarding CRO ressies, I was thinking I'd go with WL so moving to VWL won't be so bad. I've never stayed there before, though. Anyone have thoughts?

stayed at VWL for the first and only time in May. Absolutely loved it!!! If you can afford staying at the Lodge those two days, it is convenient and I like the Whispering Canyon restaurant. A bit noisy but make sure you try the banana/ice cream desert.
