what are my BCV chances?

OK I have booked a studio at BCV from October 10 till the 12th and then a 2 bedroom at BCV from the 12th till the 17th. I wanted the nights of the 7,8,9 in a studio as well. I am on the wait list for each room individually so if just one day opens up I can book it.
What are my chances of this opening? We still have just over 6 months but it will be during the FWF.
Am I out of luck??

It may open up but that's Columbus Day weekend and you are now inside of 7 months. But there is still a lot of time so it may open for you. Good luck.

Are you booked someplace else for those dates while you wait?

I'm still waiting for call from MS re BCV Oct 8th studio. Did get my other days there (10/9 thru 10/12). When I booked the day of the 9th, I was cautioned to call back ASAP the next morning as availability was very limited.

Did you book as early as possible?

We did book a studio there for the 8th in cash (yikes!) & asked that they be linked to our DVC res., just in case.

I'm optimistic, even though it's over Columbus Day holiday. Good luck, post when you get it!

OK, so now I know it may not work out for us or it might......My other option is I could go to OKW from the 7th to the 12th. It would be a studio again, and I am nervous because I dont know OKW for how far it seems to be. I dont have enough points to book OKW and keep my BCV reservation from the 10th till the 12th.......do I ditch BCV or wait it out and see? If I do OKW I will do 11 days rather then the 10.
What do you think??

Eleven days @ OKW sounds heavenly.

Never thought owning DVC would require such tough decisions either - good luck.

So it sounds like our days will overlap......will you be going to MNSSHP? I cant wait for those dates either. I dont like to wait to know when it comes to Disney stuff!!
I didnt look to see if you said, do you have kids? How old? MY 2 DS are ages 2 and 5, so we are looking forward to the pool!!
Yes, we are excited about 10 or 11 days there, I am just hoping to not really have to switch hotels. We did last year from SSR to VWL and it was fine, but I just dont want to this year.

My DS's are 25, 19 & 12 but, only the youngest will be traveling this time. Our longest trip to FL was 10 days & it was the perfect length for us.

Looking forward to our 2 shorter trips this year, especially the Oct. one for our 1st MNSSHP. The Unofficial Guide indicates that the dates are usually on Sun., Tues & Thurs. (so far, no listing for Sunday, Oct. 8th though).

Hope we both get our waitlist & your boys enjoy SAB.

The party is fun! But crowded! I decided with the holiday weekend it was going to be so packed it seems, and I didnt think I would get my way with the BCV. So, I changed my plans, now we are going October 10 till October 20. I have 3 days that I am on a wait list now, all scattered throughout the 11 days. We are actually booking a birthday party at the mini golf course for my son on his birthday. My brothers family that is vacationing seperatly will be there for the party. So we will have my family, their family and my parents. Total of 5 kids. That should be so fun. So someone will get my dates that opened up at BCV....you are welcome, now hopefully I get mine and you get yours!!!!!

So I had my name on the wait list for a total of 3 nights, all seperate wait lists........I got one today!!! Yipee!!!! and still 6.5 months to go!! WE CAN DO IT!
